Old Xing was dealing with pests on the vegetables. He looked up at Nan Feng, their eyes met. Nan Feng just nodded slightly at him, then she picked and started munching on a carrot.

Old Xing stood up and walked over to Nan Feng, "Lady Nan, the vegetables here are destined for the Imperial Kitchen, you can't just pick and eat them at will."

"I am not eating much, just a single carrot," Nan Feng said indifferently, continuing to crunch, then she turned and walked off somewhere else.

Old Xing sighed but didn't say anything further.

Nan Feng took another stroll around the garden and wandered into the fruit orchard. It held all sorts of fruit trees. Unfortunately, it was not the fruiting season yet, but there were some flowers, and bees and butterflies were collecting nectar. A breeze wafted through the trees. Nan Feng found it very comforting and managed to avoid getting sunburned.
