Unable to move a muscle, Xiao Che could only watch on as Xu Lin's hand grasped the silver pendant hung on his neck and yanked it away. Fiddling around with it for some time, he opened the pendant, revealing a bright and clear mirror inside.
'So this is the Mirror of Samsara... and now it's in my possession. All that's left is the Sky Poison Pearl in his left palm.'
"You... you... what are you doing?! I'll have you know that my grandfather Xiao Lie is the 5th elder of the Xiao clan! When he finds out that you attacked me, you'd better be hopeful that he doesn't catch you!"
After Xiao Che said these words, Xu Lin face slowly morphed into a frown.
"Even in past, present, and future, nothing changes. You're still an arrogant, ungrateful brat."
"I haven't even met you before! Now, I demand you to release me! If you refuse, then don't blame me for being impolite!"
Xu Lin gave a sigh of frustration.
"You know, I really hate those who don't know when to shut up."
Grabbing the nearby tablecloth, Xu Lin stuffed it in Xiao Che's mouth, making an improvised gag. Because he was still under the effects of genjutsu, he was unable to even spit it out. Furious, he tried to curse Xu Lin, but all that could be heard was Xiao Che's muffled voice.
'Ah, that's much better. By the way system, how do I remove his spirit marks on these artifacts?'
[The erasing process will take an hour to complete. During this time, host must keep the artifacts within one meter of him or else the process will have to be restarted.]
When he heard this, an idea suddenly came to Xu Lin and he smiled mischievously.
'Only the artifacts, right? And not the actual owner?'
[Yes. Just the artifacts have to be in close proximity to the host.]
Xu Lin retrieved the sword from his inventory and brought it close to Xiao Che's left hand. Seeing this all happen right in front of his eyes, he tried to scream for help, but all that came out were muffled cries. Raising his sword high in the air, Xu Lin suddenly swung downwards, and in one swift motion, he chopped off Xiao Che's left hand. His eyes became bloodshot as he howled out in agony. Xu Lin promptly dealt a lightning-fast chop to the back of Xiao Che's neck, instantly rendering him unconscious.
Blood gushed out from his wound and stained the wooden floor with red. Xu Lin altered Xiao Che's memories so that he had no recollection of meeting him in the first place. Confirming that he would not wake up for a while, Xu Lin created a barrier which caused people to subconsciously avoid this place as he waited for the erasing process to finish.
An hour later, Xu Lin began placing his spirit marks on the now ownerless divine artifacts. Not long after, a sudden noise alerted him to his success.

Reading this, Xu Lin started grinning like a madman.
'Great! With this many credits, my strength will improve massively. I also have the 10 gacha tickets, which will give me a chance at obtaining more powerful abilities.'
Before leaving, he took one last look at Xiao Che, who was still sprawled out on the floor.
'I'm not that cruel though. I'll at least let you live out a normal life.'
Xu Lin cast Regrowth on Xiao Che and removed the tablecloth from his mouth. He interestedly watched on as Xiao Che's left hand started growing back at a visible rate. As he erased his memories regarding his past life and the Sky Poison Pearl, Xu Lin also assimilated all of Xiao Che's medical knowledge from his time on Azure Cloud Continent.
Xu Lin dispelled the barrier and left the room where Xiao Che was staying. At this moment, Xiao Lingxi came running back with Xiao Lie. Opening the door, she suddenly screamed when she saw what was inside.
"Oh my goodness! Xiao Che, are you alright?! Why is there so much blood everywhere?!"
Awakened by her voice, Xiao Che groggily opened his eyes and found himself lying in a pool of his own blood. Shocked, he answered:
"I ... I don't know either Little Aunt! I think I started throwing up blood before I suddenly passed out!"
Xu Lin started walking away from those three people and exited the house. In his left palm was a green circle that represented the Sky Poison Pearl, while on his neck hung a silver pendant attached to a string.
Moving toward the mountains behind the Xiao Clan, he used the pearl to sense the location of nearby herbs. Specifically, he was looking for the location of the Star Concealing Grass. After searching for a day, he finally found two stalks of grass glowing with a brilliant green light. However, Xu Lin unexpectedly didn't even glance at these herbs for any longer, and instead walked around the perimeter of the grass.
'She shouldn't be too far from this place..."
And it was then that he found what he was looking for. On the ground a hundred meters in front of him lay a young girl with crimson red hair. Approaching closer, Xu Lin marveled at her appearance. If Xia Qingyue was an ice-cold beauty who exuded nobility and arrogance, then this girl was a bewitching beauty that could steal the souls of men.
Of course, this girl was Jasmine.
However, right now, her body emitted an extremely poisonous aura that turned the grass beneath her black. Placing his hand on Jasmine's head, Xu Lin felt her body devoid of heat. He activated the detoxification power of the Sky Poison Pearl and circulated it throughout her veins. As the green circle in the middle of his left palm started glowing, the girl slowly opened her eyes and gazed at Xu Lin.
"Sky... Poison... Pearl!"
She opened her mouth and bit on Xu Lin's index finger, drawing blood which flowed into the young girl's mouth. After sucking on his blood for some time, she once again returned to her previous sleeping state. All of a sudden, the young girl suddenly disappeared, entering the space within the Sky Poison Pearl.
For 1,000 credits, Xu Lin bought the Smoky Red Fairy Dress from the store and placed it beside Jasmine's body, which was currently resting in the Sky Poison Pearl.
'All that's left now is to wait for her to wake up.'
