章 43: Scias Murik

Lori didn't plan to stay any longer with Lilia so he immediately left leaving her standing in daze. She wanted to retort his words but she found herself unable to talk. She didn't know what to say at this moment.

After returning inside, Lori didn't go to his office. Rather he went straight to his room. He didn't know why but there is a sense of accomplishment in his heart.

Hours later and the sky started to turn dark. It was now time for the banquet to begin. The whole palace was brightly lit by stones empowered by mana. Inside the throne room, a scarlet rug runs from the throne down the center and loops back from both left and right while pennant banners with gilded margins droop from the walls. Between each banner hangs a small chandelier, many of them have been lit and in turn, illuminate the artistic portrayals of royalty long gone below them.

Extensive, stained glass windows depicting late royalty are covered by curtains colored the same scarlet as the banners. The curtains have been adorned with emblazoned edges and embellished borders.

A lavish throne of gold sits in front of a large window radiating light onto the throne and is adjoined by two equally lavish seats for the royal highness' direct family.

The throne is covered in divine illustrations and fixed on each of the rather slim feet is a diamond skull. The bulky pillows are a dark scarlet and these too have been adorned with burnished corners.

Those waiting to be heard by their royal highness can do so on the few brightly decorated marble benches, all of which are facing the throne in a half-circle. Those of higher standing can instead take a seat in the opulent balconies facing the throne.

The guests inside were all well-known figures in the kingdom. The women wear a fancy and elegant dress. While the men wear a smooth suit that tightly fits their body. Some of them created a group and started to talk with each other.

Seconds later, the door slowly opens and a guard came inside wearing golden armor. "His highness the majesty is here!"

When the guard shouted, everyone stopped their discussion and focused their eyes towards the door. Waiting for the newly crowned king to appear"

One the side of the throne room, Lilia was with her father. Her beauty has already captivated many men but none of them dared to approach her because of the cold air around her.

'It is only the king of a small kingdom. There is no need for such a reception' she whispered. Because of what Lori said to her, she hated Lori. Every time she thinks about what happened, her hatred only increases and she couldn't wait to leave this place.

Naturally, her father who was just right beside her heard her words. But he didn't say anything ignoring her daughter's remarks. Reprimanding her is no use, so just ignore her.

From the open door, Lori enters inside and walks in the scarlet rug to the golden throne. The guests kneel respectfully towards the new king. While others like Princess Jean who came from the Molon Kingdom just lowered her head as a sign of respect.

Behind him were some of his summons like Schneizel, Swain, Date Masamune and Unohana. While others like Crocodile, Katakuri, and Danzo didn't come with him.

The guests focused their eyes on the people behind the king. For what they thought, the king should walk inside with his family. They didn't expect that he would bring unknown individuals inside the throne room.

Schneizel who was a handsome young man was the focus of the attention, especially for the young ladies. Heck! Even wives were winking in his direction showing a thirsty expression in their faces. However, Schneizel just ignores them all and followed behind his king with his back straight.

Many guests thought that if they didn't know that Lori was the king. They will think that the young handsome man behind him was the king. Because on Schneizel carried himself as a very refined noble.

Unohana who was at the end noticed the hot gazes of the men inside the room. The gentle and kind smile on her face didn't disappear as she smiles at those men. There is no meaning in her smile, she just did it as a sign of greeting them.

Roulant eyes were watching the people following behind Lori. He could feel that they were not ordinary figures as they gave him a very powerful feeling. Especially the aura coming out from the woman. From the outside, it felt warm and you would want to be close. But as he looks closely, he could feel the thick murderous intent in her body.

Dangerous!

Very dangerous!

This is what Roulant mind was telling him. Although he didn't know what rank she is, he was confident that it was not weaker compare to the old ancestor. He decided that he would need to report this to the family. And let someone investigate it.

After Lori and his group, his family now enters the room. Lucas who was walking in front was wearing a huge smile on his face. Selena and Mill were walking closely behind him revealing beautiful smiles on their faces.

When they reach the front, Lori sits on his throne and looks at his people. With this, the banquet officially starts.

Capital City, Molon Kingdom

Inside the chamber of the king's chamber, King Scias Murik was meditating. Around him was dark air swirling inside the chamber. Suddenly, his eyes open revealing its red pupils that exude a dangerous feeling.

"My king, a messenger from the Blacksummit Kingdom has arrived in the capital and wishes to see you" a voice came from outside the door.

"Tell them I will see them shortly," the king said.

"Yes, my king!" a sound of footsteps moving away sounded outside.

Scias Murik gathers the dark air around him and inhales all of it. He could feel that his power was expanding in each day. But if he wants to breakthrough, he needed external help. 'My dear daughter is taking too much time in that kingdom. Time is running out and the medium level kingdoms started to make their move. Looks like the tension between empires is started to get violent'

Fortunately, he knew that the Silverwing Kingdom has a True Jade Stone. If he can get his hands on that stone, he would be able to breakthrough easily. Not only that, because of the stone his talents will surely be upgraded and reaching a much higher realm is possible.

'Now that the empires are fighting against each other. Even a medium-level kingdom like the Blacksummit Kingdom is making its move. And a low-level kingdom like my Molon Kingdom is getting dragged in the waves' he thought as he walks to see the messenger.

The Blacksummit Kingdom is one of the three medium-level kingdoms under the banner of the Ekhiwed Empire. The Blacksummit Kingdom was being ruled by an ambitious king. His plans were to swallow or control the low-level kingdoms around its territory. And the Molon Kingdom is one of those unlucky kingdoms.

However, there is also a kingdom that was directly opposing and fighting the Blacksummit Kingdom. And that is the Brightmoon Kingdom. At this moment, the Brightmoon Kingdom has the advantage because of its numerous experts. But the Blacksummit Kingdom isn't that easy of an opponent. Although the numbers of experts were less than its enemy, the quality of those experts was much better.

If the Blacksummit Kingdom successfully takeover the low-level kingdoms. The situation will be immediately reversed and they can defeat the Brightmoon Kingdom.
