章 34: Battle (5)
"Mother"
Inside the throne room, Leon called out his mother who has her eyes closed while sitting on the throne. She seems to be deeply thinking of something as there was a frown on her face.
The queen heard the voice of her son slowly opens her eyes. Her bright eyes stare directly at her son and a smile formed in her lips. However, her eyes turn to the people behind her son and an icy expression appeared on her face.
"Why are you with that bastard" her frosty voice sounded as she asks her son.
Leon knew what her mother was thinking and move towards her and whispered something. The expression of the queen brightens as she sweeps a cold glance towards Lori.
Standing beside her mother, Leon stops his 'acting' and his expression turns into scorn. "I've never thought that you would be this dumb Lori. You really 'believe' that I care about you. You really are a trash"
After he speaks, several figures fast approach them and surrounded Lori and the two. They were all wearing black clothes and each of them carries a short sword. A black mask was covering their face only showing their eyes which were filled with murderous intent.
"Second prince, I guess even you can understand your current situation. Just let them capture you peacefully and I promise you that you won't be killed" an old man appeared from the group and slowly face Lori.
When the group of people arrived, Lori didn't have any reaction in his face. He was just passively staring directly at the queen. So when the old man appears, he just glances at him and said without emotion, "The patriarch of the Manniger Family. Your whole family is really full of beasts. Eradication of your bloodline in the capital is a must"
The old man who arrived was the patriarch of the Manniger Family. When he hears Lori's words he was silent at first before bursting into a laugh, "Eradication of my whole bloodline? The second prince surely jest. How can you eradicate my bloodline if you can't even protect yourself?"
"Are you speaking that way because you thought that I'm still the same in the past?" Lori said as he shook his head.
"Patriarch Manniger, don't waste your time talking to that trash. Just order your men to capture him, I will first torture him before using him as a bait to catch that slut Selena and the king" Leon said impatiently. His eyes then turn to Unohana, he licks his lips and with a lustful expression, he said, "But make sure to not harm the woman with him. It would be a waste if she dies without this prince taking a bite off her"
The old man turns to Unohana and saw that the woman was a beauty. A light flashes in his eyes and said, "The crown prince appreciates your beauty it is your honor. As long as you come over here you will be the woman of the future king. Glory and riches, you will receive it. You will become like a small bird suddenly transforming into a phoenix with a single leap"
Leon nodded his head in satisfaction when he heard the old man. Proud and arrogant expression was on his face as he held his chest up looking down at Lori. 'The woman you brought will be mine. No one can ignore the temptation of being a queen of the kingdom'
But, they were bound to be disappointed in Unohana's answer, "Thank you for the offer, but let me kindly refuse it. I'm a servant of the young master and that won't change"
Everyone including the queen was surprised that the woman's words. She directly refuses the crown prince's offer to become her woman.
Leon's face turned red as he stares angrily at Unohana. Combined with shame and anger, his face is as red as a monkey's butt. Forcing to calm himself, he gritted his teeth, "Are you sure of your decision? It seems that you don't recognize your current place. We have the upper hand in this, the reason I make an offer to you was for your own good. But if you really want to refuse my goodwill, then I can only harm you"
Seeing that Unohana didn't plan to answer him, Leon's anger already pierce through the sky. He signals the old man and said, "Don't know how to appreciate this prince's kindness. Then don't blame me for being ruthless"

The voice of the mission sounded inside Lori's head as it gave him new missions. Lori started to ponder what kind of reward was the ultimate upgrade. But he put it aside from the time being as enemies close in around them.
A few moments later...
"T...this? How could this happen?" Patriarch Manniger said as he couldn't believe what happened in front of him. The over 30 experts of his Manniger Family was lying dead on the ground. Thick red blood flows from their bodies as the nauseating stench spread in the throne room.
Queen Melissa and Leon were no different from the Patriarch Manniger. They themselves were shocked by the scene that they witness. One moment the warriors of the Manniger Family attack with great momentum. But just after several flashes, all of them stumbles on the ground with a precise cut in each of their necks deep enough to kill them.
"Seems that our places would change"

Meanwhile, in the capital, the battle between Han Goldling and the Morrison Family is happening. Outside the mansion of the Morrison Family, several bodies were lying on the ground. They were from both the soldiers that Han Goldling brought and the soldiers under the Morrison Family.
"He he he! Didn't expect that after many years, you're still hiding too much. Tell me, what more are you hiding?" Edward Morrison said with his whole body covered in cuts. His bloody appearance looks terrifying but he was still standing proudly in front of Han Goldling.
"You're not the one to talk. I didn't receive any information about you becoming a rank A warrior. You really surprise me and this old man almost lose his life against you" Han Goldling stood several meters away from his opponent. A deep wound was on his chest revealing his white bones. He receives this injury when Edward Morrison unexpectedly erupted with a rank A power. At that time if he didn't have enough battle experience, he was sure that he would lose his life.
"Then we should finish this immediately," Edward Morrison said. He knows that if this fight continues, he will certainly be defeated.
"I'm thinking the same"
However, before they resume their fight, an explosion happens from the direction where the palace is.
Han Goldling quickly turns his head around and a terrible feeling rises from his chest.
"Being distracted in a battle against me. Seems like you look down towards me too much!" taking this opportunity when Han Goldling was distracted. Edward Morrisson like a wild beast pounces forward. A fierce expression was on his face as he pours all his remaining strength into this one last attack.
"Damn! Shameless old man!" Han Goldling roared in anger as all the hair at the back of his neck stood up. His body erupted in power as he turns to block the deadly strike towards him.
