"I- don't remember. I-I'm sorry." She lied.

'It's better that he doesn't know what happened.' she thought to herself.

"I know that you're lying, Aly. I've known you since you were a toddler so tell me what happened." He uttered. 

"I don't know what you are talking about, Chance. I said what I said. Anyway, when are we going to be rescued?" 

Chance changed his mood in a split second when Alyssum changed the topic. He just wanted to know what happened back then since he saw her drowning. He was worried sick when she wasn't awake. 

It sunk his heart seeing her hopeless. He thought that she would leave him. Sounds selfish but he didn't want her to leave him beside him. 

"Don't change the topic, Alyssum. You know you can tell me anything." 

She scoffed and rolled her eyes knowing that Chance told her parents about the riot the other day. She glared at him and then looked away. After all, she couldn't help falling in love again.
