"Are you kidding me?!"
the disbelief crackled through the silence, igniting the entire sixth floor into a near-riot. However, none of them dared make a move.
"Believe it or not," the Red Count shrugged, "that's what happened. You'll understand when you face him yourselves."
Luo Ning had carefully controlled the range of his Reiatsu, preventing it from spreading throughout Impel Down. Otherwise, no one in the entire prison would have remained conscious.
Meanwhile, those who had been observing the battle witnessed Luo Ning's overwhelming victory.
Magellan, despite not experiencing Luo Ning's terrifying aura firsthand, was left in a cold sweat. The idea of using sheer coercion to subdue Bullet, especially Bullet in his prime, was beyond astounding. This solidified Magellan's admiration for Luo Ning, leaving him speechless.
Luo Ning's audacity in proposing the group arena was no longer seen as foolish hope for the prisoners; it was a descent into despair. It was safe to assume that any escape attempts would be quelled after witnessing this display of power.
Faced with an existence like Luo Ning, escape simply wasn't an option. Even if they managed to slip away during Luo Ning's absence, they'd only be recaptured later, forced to pay back any outstanding Golden Lion membership fees.
The group arena served as a powerful deterrent, effectively quelling any escape attempts from the prisoners, significantly easing Magellan's workload.
Magellan himself had also begun a workout regimen, delegating most tasks to Hannyabal and the others. While his physical resistance had shown some improvement, the side effects of his Devil Fruit – the inability to touch seawater or Seastone – remained unavoidable. The uncontrollable poison outbursts were thankfully mitigated to some extent by his increased physical strength, although completely eliminating bathroom breaks would require significant training.
Following his victory in the group arena, Luo Ning returned to his quarters, his mind already set on utilizing his prize. The lottery results were in, and Luo Ning stared at the reward with a hint of surprise.
"This, of all things!"
He held an exquisitely crafted cup. It was called the Fountain of Life, originating from the world of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Within the Seven Deadly Sins world, the Fountain of Life resided in the Fairy King's Forest, guarded by the fairy folk's saints. This spring served as the life source for the entire forest, and its disappearance would spell doom for the Fairy King's domain.
Legend claimed that a single lick granted ten years of life, drinking it offered a century, and complete consumption bestowed immortality.
In the original Seven Deadly Sins story, Elaine ultimately offered this to Ban. After drinking from it, Ban achieved an immortal body, impervious to even the most severe injuries. Even shattered pieces of him could be revived.
The implications were staggering – an infinite lifespan and a truly immortal body. Ban's only vulnerability, aside from a flaw in his soul, was rendered null.
And the one in Luo Ning's hands was an enhanced version. The effects of this cup of Fountain of Life were identical to the original from the Seven Deadly Sins world.
However, the key improvement was that Luo Ning's version could be replenished once a year. This meant that every year, Luo Ning could grant someone an immortal body, preventing aging and enabling instant injury recovery.
In essence, Luo Ning held an enhanced version of an enhanced version.
"I can't stop thinking about how to ensure Nami and the others' longevity!" Luo Ning grew sentimental as he cradled the cup. In truth, he didn't necessarily need it.
His power had elevated him to a point where his lifespan was extended to an incredible degree, and his self-healing ability, a product of his fantasy power, rivaled the effects of the cup.
One could say Luo Ning could achieve what the cup offered, but that wasn't the case for those around him. No matter how formidable Luo Ning was, Nami and the others were still ordinary people, with the exception of Nami's recent acquisition of the Thunder Fruit.
The others were exceptional in their own right, but exceptional didn't equate to longevity.
With this cup, however, everything changed.
Luo Ning directly summoned the women around him, excluding Yamato. Yamato craved adventure and yearned for the open seas. Luo Ning had equipped her with a warship, allowing her to sail and hunt pirates simultaneously.
Yamato thrived in this role, which was why she wasn't present in Impel Down. Everyone else, however, had arrived.
After explaining the cup's effects, their eyes widened in astonishment.
This wouldn't halt human growth, but rather preserve the body at its peak. Even a child who drank from it would continue to develop normally, reaching a physical peak around the age of thirty.
This peak signified the pinnacle of physical condition, not necessarily strength. It was a time of peak beauty and handsomeness.
Therefore, there was no concern about remaining in a childlike state. Shirahoshi, however, was an exception due to her consumption of the Hobi Hobi Fruit, permanently locking her in a childlike appearance.
"Wow... This is incredible! Where did you get this?" Nami's eyes sparkled as she gazed at the Fountain of Life cup. Its effects were exactly what everyone desired.
"Don't worry about that. Now, you can decide who drinks from this cup first."
"There will be another cup available every year, so there's enough for everyone to share!" Luo Ning assured them. He didn't have an excessive number of women in his life, just a select few, enough for everyone to have a drink within a few years.
"Then Robin should drink first. After all, it doesn't matter if we drink now or later!" Nami suggested. Robin was the eldest amongst them, making her a natural choice. Additionally, this wasn't a one-time use item; they would have a new cup every year.
Nami was only sixteen years old, and the others were even younger. Baby5, with a slightly lower standing, would have to wait her turn.
