章 26: Chapter Twenty-six:

The night passed swiftly and soon the rays of the sun were kissing Maya's face softly. She let out a low groan as her eyes flew open. She tried to get up but was restricted by the heavy arms wrapped securely around her. Yawning, she gently peeled the arms off her and walked to the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, she couldn't stop herself from thinking about the woman at the gate last night.

Was she attacked by arms robbers? Why was she beaten badly? How did she end up there?

All these thoughts run through her brain as she brushed her teeth. Opening the faucet, she made a mental note to find out which hospital she was taken to and visit her later that day. After washing her face, Maya packed her hair into a messy ponytail and went down stairs to prepare breakfast.

"Morning grandpa,"she cheerful greeted Master Dan who was already sitting in the couch, legs crossed with a newspaper in one hand and a coffee in the other.
