章 6: CHAPTER 6- Weird feeling
CHAPTER 6
JEN'S POV
When Don left something inside me is not right.
I can feel it.
I remember what happened that day. I'm not going to go back there ever again.
However, I have to go too because I have a duty on 10am.
JERO'S POV
In my office, I am working in my papers when my phone rings. I pick it up.
-"Jero, bro!"
-"What's the matter, Lei?"
-"Would you mind to go here in the hospital? I got to an accident but don't worry I am not hurt."
-"So tell me, why you called?"
-"Well Jero, the man I bumped in with was a guy that I know is a businessman same as you so, would you help me out? He wants to sue me and you know what does gonna happen to me if that happen. My whole career will be gone."
-"I'll send my secretary there."
-"No, Jero. I think it will be much good if you will be the one to talk to him personally."
-"You know what Lei, you are really a pain in my ass."
-"I know."
I hang up and stood to walk to my car. I drive faster to go where the hell Lei is.
To the hospital, I go to the emergency room and there I found Lei.
-"Bro. Thank you and you came."
-"Where's the guy?"
-"Here's there. Jero, please convince him to drop the case."
-"I know him and I can convince him to drop the case. Tell me, where is your driver?"
-"I told my team to have a vacation."
-"They shouldn't let you drive. You are a reckless driver."
-"I know. I just want to have a time alone, you know?"
-"Yeah, a time alone. We all know what's happening if they let you alone. You are prone to accident."
-"I know. I know."
-"I'll talk to the guy and you...do the acting since you are good at that. Use your skill here."
-"Okay."
I approach the guy in the bed who is wearing a suit.
-"Hello, I am Jero Mitchelle D. Francisco."
-"If you are here Mr. Francisco to talk to me and to settle things then, I'm not falling to it."
-"Here's the thing, Mister."
I lean forward to him.
-"I know who you are and if you don't call off your case for my friend then, I'm going to pull out all of my investments to your company."
-"Mr. Francisco, you know how my company is in debt now. Fine, I'll drop the case for your friend just don't pull out all of your investments."
-"Very well then."
I leave him and pull Lei at the side.
-"He is not going to file a case against you anymore."
-"Oh. Thank you very much, Jero."
-"Now, go home and I will be the one to settle things since you can't handle things like this."
-"You know I'm not good at these things. And a businessman understands a businessman. I'm a model and not a businessman."
-"I know that very well. I have to go and I have a meeting to attend to."
I started to walk out from the emergency room when suddenly my feet stop.
That girl on a mask, wearing a white medical uniform and has a blonde hair.
I think I know her?
Or I think not.
I continue walking through my car and speed away.
Now, I remember the girl in the bar last week. I didn't get her name. The next thing I know is that, she left without my knowing.
-"It's been two weeks since what happened but I still can't forget about her. What is happening to me? I even tried to look for her in the bar every night. What the hell is wrong to me? Okay. Forget about her."
JEN'S POV
For the ninth time, I throw up to the bath room.
I feel sick.
-"Are you okay, Sis?"
-"Don't worry I can still manage."
-"You've been throwing up since last week. Are you sure you're fine? Why don't you visit a doctor for a check up?"
-"You're right. I think I really need to visit a doctor."
I'm getting dizzy so, I go to the bed and lay down.
-"I'm going out, Sis. Is there anything you want?"
-"I want a fries. A lot of fries."
-"Two BFF fries?"
-"Yes, please. I want a bucket of fried chicken too."
-"Okay."
-"And oh, I want a sundae too. Thank you, Sis."
-"Got it. Okay. I'll be back soon."
She left then.
I feel nauseous, dizzy and I feel like my stomach likes to eat a lot.
I think I really need to visit a doctor because my duty in the hospital is already affected.
The next morning, I go to the hospital near my condo and the doctor said to me to take pregnancy test before they prescribe any medications.
I am pretty confidence that I am not pregnant because I never had a sexual intercourse with anyone.
Wait... how about what happened the last two weeks? To the bar?
Wait. Am I fertile that day? I don't think so.
I take the pregnancy test and give the tube to the doctor.
-"Have a seat."
I take a sit beside of the desk of the doctor. After a minute, she come back and sits on her table.
-"Ms. Llorevo, congratulations you're one week pregnant."
-"What?"
I'm pregnant?
With who? To the guy who took advantage of me when I was drunk?
Gracious!
-"I cannot prescribe any medication for you for now because that may harm the child's health so, for now I'm going to prescribe you the foods that you need to eat for you to have a healthy baby."
She writes down the foods that I need.
I'm pregnant and the guy in the bar is the father.
He's dead to me.
I go home and there I break down.
What will my Mom and Dad gonna say? My family.
What am I going to do?
I hear the beep of the door meaning Don is home. She enters the condo and she sees me.
-"What happened? Why are you crying?"
She sits beside of me.
-"Sis, I have something to tell you."
-"What is that? You can tell me everything."
-"Remember when we went to the King's Bar?"
-"Yes. That was three weeks ago. What about it?"
-"I lied to you when I said that I was just sleeping because honestly, I was at the back of the stage and I was with the guy I don't know who and there was something happened between us. He took advantage of my drunken state. I lost control."
-"Wait. Few days ago you were having a nauseous feeling and you were also throwing up non-stop and you ate a lot and you seemed have a sick. Tell me, what does that mean?"
I cry more.
-"Those symptoms were all because... I'm pregnant. I'm one week pregnant."
-"What!"
-"What would my parents say to me? I promise to graduate on time and not this. That guy ruins everything."
Just thinking of him makes my temper rise.
He will pay for this!
-"Did you already go to see a doctor?"
-"Yes."
At the same time, I nodded.
-"Please Don, don't tell my family about this especially my parents. They will all freak out for sure."
I plead.
-"Of course. I won't tell anyone about it. But what are you going to do now?"
-"I don't know. My brain is empty as of this moment."
-"You said that you don't know the guy who took advantage of you but you know his face right? You do remember him, don't you?"
-"Yes. Even I'm drunk I have a very sharp memory."
-"Then, the first thing we should do now is to look for the guy who did that to you. If we have to come back in the bar then we will just to see him and pay for what he did to you."
She hugs me tight.
I really don't know what to do now
