章 1: The Old Collin
Robert Collin, a man born in 1923. he was born as the son of a farmer couple in a remote area. he grew up with little knowledge of the outside world which made his childhood filled with curiosity about the world outside his village. when collin started to grow up, he mustered up his courage to leave his village, because he wanted to see what the world was like and broaden his knowledge at the same time. when collin told his parents about what he wanted to do they just said, "if this is what you want to do then go, we support you. go and see what you want to know and don't come back until you have done it"
After receiving pocket money from his parents, Collin went to urban areas, while there, Collin experienced the harshness of city life for nomads. but through it all he managed to survive and as he wished he slowly accumulated experience and knowledge from his life outside the countryside and was even able to meet lots of people and start to build connections. It wasn't until his twenties that he managed to have enough connections in town that he could start a business.
at the age of twenty-seven. Collin, with the connections he has built, built a company that sells food from farms called "Clafam". Collin also works with his parents and villagers who also have farms in the village to sell their livestock products to his company and his company will process them before selling them, and.from the profits that their company got they began to buy land and build their own farm under collin's supervision. and under the leadership of collin, "clafam" grew into a large company in a fairly short time.
At the age of thirty-three, Collin has finally met his destiny, the love of his life, Dona. Dona is a woman at her age who works as a nurse in a hospital, Collin meets her after he accidentally injures his hand quite badly while supervising his crew. it was from there that they started chatting and started getting to know each other, as well as building friendships, after being friends for quite a while, collin realized that dona was a single, collin certainly couldn't say anything about this, he couldn't stop thinking how could a woman as beautiful and good as this still be single in her thirties, collin felt that she must be a woman that God had specially prepared for her and she shouldn't waste it so after being friends for a year collin had mustered up his courage and determination to confess his feelings to dona, which she unexpectedly accepted. eventually collin and dona married at the age of thirty-five.
life seemed perfect for collin and dona, after they got married they were blessed with five children, they consisted of three sons and two daughters, "clafam" also continued to grow and become a big company. but because of the company's rapid development, collin often came home late, which in turn had an impact on his relationship with his children, which became less close. despite that collin still works hard to make sure he has time to spend with his kids every fortnight and he also makes sure to still be able to attend their birthdays. of course collin also did not forget to make out and strengthen the relationship with his wife.
but as a wheel always turns up and down, collin's wheel of life took a drastic turn, at the age of forty-five, one of collin's trusted workers ran off with a large amount of money from his company and he also sold many of the company's secrets to other company. this certainly undermines the stability of collin's company and makes "clafam" falter. Even though Collin had tried to stabilize the condition of the "clafam" all of his efforts failed, there were also many of his business opponents who did not want to waste this opportunity which ultimately led to Collin being nearly went bankrupt. this caused collin to become depressed and began to consume alcohol excessively. Collin's depression also had an impact on his family life, Collin began to rarely play with his children and his behavior also became a bit rough but not at the level he did something that phsically hurt his family.
Luckily for Collin he has his wife Dona who, in his worst condition, still supports him and still always by his side. Through the support and advice of his wife, Collin begins to slowly but surely begin to recover from his depression and addiction. Collin was also aware of the condition of his company which at that time was almost impossible to restore, which in the end made Collin take a tough enough decision, that is to sell his company "Clafam", and start everything from scratch, together with his beloved wife Dona and their children.
After selling the "clafam" Collin and Dona decide to continue living depending on the land that Collin's parents left for him, which is now an empty lot for some reason, after which Collin decides to build a ranch and farm business. he started by expanding the land he owned and together with his wife dona they started together to build their farm, there they also began to improve their family conditions so that they would return to being a harmonious family.
Collin's children were all away from home by the time he was fifty-seven, and after they were out they became very busy with their own lives, which resulted in little communication with their parents. sadly dona died at the age of fifty nine leaving his family first, this made collin dissolve in grief. On the day of Dona's funeral many of their friends came, mourning her death while contemplating their not so much age as old people. but there was one of collin's children who because of his work could not come, this made collin very angry with him, he finally visited his mother's grave only after two years after dona funeral
when he saw his son coming after two years late, collin couldn't contain his emotions and scolded him. this made their relationship which had started to stretch even more tenuous, collin also started to become less responsive to his children which in turn made them visit less frequently. collin who spent his life taking care of his farm. while sometimes hanging out with his friends and going to church. Collin had an unexpectedly long life, while his friends had already left the world in their seventies and eighties. he lives a healthy life while taking care of his land.
at eighty-eight collin completely lost contac with his children. During this time he began to think about his youth and about his days with his children and wife Dona. but now at his age he can't do anything, he is now just a weak old man who is waiting for the day of his death. but in these lonely days he started using the internet more and more, and when he was roaming the internet he came across something called "Anime" and "Manga". At first he thought this was just some kind of entertainment for the children, but while waiting for the day to come it wouldn't hurt to enjoy some time with the children's entertainment. but he was wrong after several years of surfing and watching various anime and manga he started to live life as a weeaboo.
"beep... beep... beep" in a dark and quiet hospital room, an old man was lying limp on a hospital bed. this is a ninety-five years old collin, right now he is lying down waiting for the angel of God to come and pick him up, and bring him back to be reunited with his beloved wife. while waiting he thinks about how he is living and what he is like as a father
"aaaah. dona, forgive me for not being able to maintain this family as I promised" collin spoke as he felt all his energy begin to leave his body "I hope my death can be a means of reuniting for the children and i hope they take care of the farm we built to support them since childhood and not just sell it" collin thought as his eyes lost their light and slowly closed and, "beeeeep". Robert Collin officialy died in 2019 at the age of ninety-five, without no one by his side.
when Collin was floating in the midst of the wonders of the spirit realm, he heard the words "hello, my child". then a very bright light, brighter than anything collin had ever seen appeared, and from the light there was a man who looked old but still very fit and he radiated an aura of kindness and serenity. At the first glance collin immediately knew who was in front of him right now.
