章 9: #9 Blessed with the best
New Year's Eve

After their first incounter with each other day before yesterday, Sam was in a good and jolly mood. He hadn't bumped into Pia in two days but for last two days,every morning he woke up with a hope to bump into her. Taylor had given him all the details and he knew everything about her right from where she was born to her hobbies to her family to her job everything there was to know about her he knew everything now. He decided to not do anything about her or intentionally meet her or bump into her because he didnt want it to be too obvious. So,he waited for his luck to play its role and make them meet.
On new years eve Sam was a little busy as he had to plan the entire new years party and he was hell bent on making it the most memorable one. He reached the venue a little early at 9pm,to check all the arrangements. He was just speaking to the manager asking him about the arrangements when his friends barged in the hotel.
"Werent you all supposed to come at 10pm?" Sam asks all of them.
"We just thought we would surprise you" Carter tell me.
"Okay then,let the party beginnn boyss" Patrick says with a lots of excitement.
"Ok then,make sure there is not a single mistake in the arrangement and call me up at 11:30 sharp. Okay manager?" Sam orders the manager.
"Yess Sir. Please enjoy yourselves" saying this manager walks off.
"Why did you ask him to call us up at 11:30 sam? Aren't we staying here till 12:00 am?" Kaedyn asks sam.
"Thats a surprise for you all. Now come on lets get to the first surprise for all of you" Sam tells everybody and winks at them. Everybody follows sam to the main area of the resort. It was totally booked for only them,Sam had gone overboard for his friends and the other 4 were shocked and suprised at the smae time. There was food,lots of booze and girls as well.
"Holy fuck! You've outdone everybody of us Buddy" Anthony exclaims.
"Totally Dude. This is sick. We honestly didn't expect your arrangements to be this good man. I'm impressed." Kaedyn tells sam.
"Okay guys enough about me. Lets enjoy this moments to the fullest." Sam tells and everybody nods there heads in agreement.
They all begin to enjoy themselves and sam was at the bar when kaedyn comes to him and says,"Your are infectiously happy today"
"I am indeed" Sam replies.
"I am sure there is something other than this party that has happened and you havent told us about it." Kaedyn asks suspiciously.
"No,there isnt anything like that kaedyn" Sam tells kaedyn.
"The last I saw you this happy was when you were…" Kaedyb begins to speak but Sam interrupts him saying,"Lets not talk about it today Kaedyn. Come lets get on the dance floor,its been long we havent danced like crazy mad people"
"Ohhkayyyyy. But…" Kaedyn says.
"No buts kaedyn come on" Sam yells at him.
Kaedyn and Sam were known as the best duo dancers during college times,there was nobody who could beat them. Nothing had changed even after so many yeara, as they set the stage on fire tonight.
It was 11:30 and Sam gathers the other four and asks them to leave with him and they all follow by. Taylor was waiting outside the resort for all of them. They all sat in the car and taylor began driving.
"Atleast,tell us now where are you taking us sam" Carter asks.
"Its a surprise idiot. Have patience" Sam Tells Carter. All of them then reach the place after 20 minutes of drive and all of them get off the car.
Sam had bought them to a bridge which meant a lot to all of them as it was one place where every single one of them came when they feel lonely or stressed. They all get out of the car and realise where they were. Before anybody could speak anything sam begins,
"Guys,I am blessed to have you,I might not be the best party planner,but all I wanted to do this time was to appreciate you for being in my life. You all are the reason why I am what I am. You all stood by me through my dark times,happy times and all the times. I don't know what did I really do to deserve you all but I am surely blessed and lucky for all you four and I am more than just blessed for this friendship. I am fortunate to be spending this new years with you all in the place which is close to everyone of us.I am indeed blessed with the best!"
Kaedyn,carter,patrick and Anthony all four of them became emotional as they knew it wasnt often when sam expressed his feelings but when he did it was genuiene.
"You know what Sam,We all have faced our sharea of troubles and hardships but one this didnt change over the years was the friendship of ours and when we are together,then nobody can beat us" Carter says emotionally.
"Absolutely buddy." Sam exclaims
"Group hug guys?" Patrick asks and everybody joins them and all five of them hug each other.
Only a 10seconds had left for the new year and sam asked everybody to settle down on the bench and asks them to look up at the sky as he had another surprise for them. They begin the countdown,
10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3…. 2….1
"HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE BEST FRIENDS EVER IN THE WORLD. I AM BLESSED TO HAVE YOU GUYS"
These words appear in the form of crackers and at that point all five of them felt blessed to have each other. Everybody stands up and hug each other.
"You are the best party planner. I bow down to you buddy" Carter Says to sam. Everybody has a good laugh and they just sit down on the bench nearby again and begin talking about the memories they have made over the years. While they were talking,Sam notices something and has a shocked expression on his face. He gets up and starts running towards the railing of bridge leaving others including Taylor in shock.
