Silence followed after all I've told them about our weird encounter with that old lady back at the home-made sweets shop, right before my brother broke it, doubt and conflict evidently glinting in his honey brown irises as he quietly said.
"Still, that doesn't mean anything. For all we know, that could've been just an old crazy hag, messing with your minds."
"Maybe." Luc commented, trying to sustain Rick's argument, though the look in his steely gray eyes seemed to betray him, bringing to the surface the angst and worry stirring deep within him, making me feel those two negative feelings as well and before I knew it, the words came out on their own.
