"Make sure no one leaks the news," Arias said calmly as he stood up.
Ivankov, visibly angry, retorted, "We are all heroes of the revolution! No one will betray us!"
Arias merely chuckled, not entirely convinced. Traitors could emerge anywhere; the Revolutionary Army was no exception.
In a secluded corner of Logue Town Bay, a group of cloaked figures stood silently. These were soldiers of the Revolutionary Army, gathered under orders to attack the Logue Town Marine branch.
"Is everyone here?" Ivankov asked, addressing the group. The Revolutionary Army operated without a permanent base, gathering only when missions demanded.
One of Ivankov's adjutants was counting the soldiers. "Report! Ichi hasn't arrived yet!"
Ivankov's face tightened. These soldiers were handpicked and trustworthy; an unexplained absence was alarming. Feeling a growing sense of unease, he asked loudly, "Does anyone know where Ichi is?"
Two soldiers exchanged glances before one of them stepped forward. "I was with Ichi for a while, but we parted ways after I stopped for a drink. I thought he had arrived by now."
Ivankov, now worried, tried to contact Ichi via his phone, but there was no response.
Meanwhile, in the shadows, Long felt a chill as he looked at the crow beside him. "I'm afraid the Marines have captured Ichi. Should we continue the mission?" Crow asked.
Long frowned, deep in thought. "I remember Ichi. How could something happen to him suddenly?"
Arias's earlier warnings echoed in Long's mind. Could Ichi really be a traitor? Or was Arias somehow responsible?
But if it were Arias, how had he discovered the Revolutionary Army's location and leaked it to the Marines?
"Long, Ichi likes to drink. Maybe he got into trouble because of that," Crow suggested. Long nodded, but something still felt off.
Suddenly, Long's phone rang. The device was small, only capable of storing limited radio signals, and only a few people had its frequency. When he answered, an old voice came through. "Are you in Logue Town now?"
Long's heart sank. "Yes," he replied.
"Leave immediately! A Marine spy captured one of your men and extracted your plan. Now, a large force of Marines is surrounding Logue Town!"
Back at the bay, Ivankov was conflicted. If Ichi had indeed been captured, it might be too late to retreat. Perhaps they should proceed with the mission and at least secure the funds.
But before he could act, someone appeared behind him. "Retreat now!" Long ordered, his tone decisive. Completing the mission was secondary; the Revolutionary Army could not afford heavy losses.
Beside him, Arias said coldly, "If you withdraw now, you won't receive the bounty, and your credibility with me will suffer. Future missions will yield reduced rewards."
But Long had no time for this. He still wasn't sure if Arias was to blame. As they prepared to retreat, five warships suddenly appeared, cutting off their escape. From behind, the sound of heavy footsteps grew closer. The Marines from the Logue Town branch had surrounded them, armed and ready. The warships blocked the sea escape, each one carrying a Vice Admiral of the Navy Headquarters.
Long recognized them all: Garp, Sakazuki, Guysha, Huoshaoshan, and Ghost Spider. The scale of the operation was more terrifying than a Buster Call.
Arias, realizing the trap, yelled, "Long! You betrayed me!"
Long was equally furious. The gathered Marines were elite, and Sakazuki's strength rivaled his own. He pulled his cloak tighter, hiding his face from the Marines. Arias, wearing a mask and a black windbreaker, looked entirely different from his usual appearance.
"The Revolutionary Army is indeed here," Akainu declared from the bow of one of the ships. "Surrender now, and you might live. Resist, and you will die!" His gaze shifted to Long. "Have I seen you somewhere before?"
Long remained silent, but Ivankov stepped forward, stretching his face into a grin. "How could the little red dog have seen our great leader of the Revolutionary Army?"
Akainu, enraged, launched a Meteor Volcano attack. Magma rained down from the sky, scorching everything in its path.
In response, a flock of crows emerged from the shadows, colliding with the falling magma. The birds, made of coal, burst into flames, raising the temperature further.
Realizing his efforts had only made things worse, the crow retreated into the darkness. Long, hidden under his windbreaker, sighed as the sky darkened with storm clouds. Lightning flashed, and a strong wind blew, bringing heavy rain that extinguished the magma. But in doing so, he revealed his identity.
Akainu sneered, turning to Garp on the adjacent warship. "So, the son of the Marine hero Garp is the leader of the Revolutionary Army!"
Garp remained silent. He had been ordered to apprehend dangerous criminals and hadn't cared much about their identities. But as they approached Logue Town, his curiosity got the better of him, and he discovered they were after Revolutionary Army members.
"Vice Admiral Garp, are you going to side with the rebels?" Akainu asked sharply, showing no respect despite Garp's heroic status.
"Dragon! Surrender now! There's still a chance to save your life!" Garp pleaded with his son. "With your strength, you could have been a Vice Admiral by now. You could have even become an Admiral. Why do you resist the world?"
Tears streamed down Garp's face. "Today, I'll take you to Marine Prison myself!"
His declaration relieved the other Vice Admirals. This powerful Marine hero was still on their side.
Akainu, seeing Dragon's defiance, ordered his men to open fire on the Revolutionary soldiers. The Logue Town Marines joined in, firing in unison.
The battle would be brutal, with destruction inevitable at the first clash.
