章 21: Learning
After some time the Anbu member returned with a big scroll that was the size of a human.
Because the room was already not the old office of the Hokage they could pretty much start immediately. Otherwise, space would be way too narrow to do anything of this kind.
The Anbu opened the scroll and after a short sign printing, he retrieved the objects that were sealed inside the scroll. Wich was a bunch of smaller scrolls that were now piled into a pyramid. Then he places two other scrolls near that.
When he finished his work he disappeared together with the huge scroll.
Kaito was kinda curious about this. It was after all very much like his inventory.
Knowing it was about time to get started he came closer to the scrolls and sat down.
The room was filled with tatami mats and sitting on the floor without a chair was rather comfortable.
"Remember what I said.", mentioned Hiruzen again to him.
Kaito only nodded and picked up a certain scroll that was labeled as Rasengan. He picked that scroll because he wanted to know something first.
Just when he touched the scroll a window popped up just as he predicted.

Kaito squinted his eyes and just ignored the message. There was actually a problem with this.
He chose not to learn the scroll. That is because it would disappear into nothingness if he accepted.
How would he explain that right in front of the Hokage?
He was also only trying to find something out first. So he should be fine on this scroll. Doing it the old fashioned way will get him less suspicion.
After opening the scroll he looked through the content and most of it was pretty straightforward. Explaining a little bit of chakra manipulation and how the technique is performed.
Because Kaito already tried to perform the Rasengan he could follow the content very well. What actually surprised him was that he found out why his own try failed so grandly.
´I actually forgot about compressing the chakra to keep it stable as a sphere...´

He was actually surprised this time. Didn't he just decline it? But it was a little bit differently formulated now. Was the system basically trying to entice him?
Raising his brows a little he wondered about which choice to make. That is before the elder snorted. It seems he noticed his raised brow and thought Kaito was stumped at the content.
"See, this kid is completely confused about the content in the scroll."
Kaito raised his head and looked at the man. He gave him a look as if he saw some idiot who can't stay quiet and had to use every moment to get attention.
"Is it too hard to understand?", asked Hiruzen now.
Kaito shook his head in denial. "No, I was just surprised at something that is written inside."
´Fine you old foggy. Let's play that game....Yes´, thought Kaito after looking at the elder and refocusing at the scroll where the window was still open.
It suddenly vanished and another window appeared.

Kaito just did that and read the rest of the scroll.

Suddenly some information appeared in his head. It was weird to describe but it was like he understood the Rasengan a lot more now. How it should be performed and when to use it.
But what actually was a good thing is that the scroll did not disappear.
´Right...Doing it the old way and learning things by reading and understanding them actually works as well...I should probably just accept that...´
Rolling up the scroll he put it to the side and started reading the other scrolls as well. He took some time for each of them to read. Some of them were actually difficult to understand.
Especially the Fuinjutsu got harder and harder. But luckily there were some basic ones where he could get the fundamental knowledge from.

There were various sealing techniques in those scrolls. There were even the ones to store objects inside scrolls as the Anbu did.
So basically a lot of basic seals. Most of them were likely used in the military police forces.
Things that were not included were the forbidden ones like the [Dead Demon Consuming Seal] and that was for obvious reasons.
Weirdly enough Hiruzen actually included the [Five Elements Seal].
He was cautious but at the same time cocky? After all he did ask about the seal on himself.
Did he think that Kaito would not be able to learn them nor reverse engineer the unseal versions? Or just simply trust?
But Kaito did not bother about that matter for long.
When he finished reading all the scrolls his head stsrted to hurt a little. It looked like a slight headache was incoming. But he still managed to stuff all of them inside his head.

´Oh, interesting...´ Just when he wanted to check them out he was interrupted.
"Already giving up?"
Kaito was now really annoyed by this old bastard. "I am finished in memorizing them..."
"Hmpf, playing tough it seems. Well, it doesn't matter. Now that you had your request granted you should be happy?" The elder waved with a hand and actually destroyed the scrolls with a fire Jutsu before Kaito even answered.
Kaito was also amazed that his control was so good that no flame damaged anything other than the scrolls.
He didnt even see him printing. Dangerous fella.
"Kaito, I am going to ask that you keep everything here a secret...That does include your brother.", said Hiruzen now. Looks like he was trading these skills for his loyalty and word to keep quiet.
"That is fine...Well, I will be on my way then." With a short bow, Kaito left the room and later the Hokage office.
