章 20: Covert mission

Dai POV:-
So after a day, we are finally in the land of lightning, a few hundred miles away from Village of lightning or kumovillage as I like to call it.
During my time on the boat, I trained myself in using the fusion skill, it went well so far, the skill helps me in mixing two chakra nature to make a new one.
Although I am not good with other nature transformations yet the skill does not require me to have enough experience in the first place
I just need to ignite a little bit of two different chakras together to use the new one.
So far I have tried ice release, explosions release, and a couple other as well
swift release is delicious by the way, I noticed that it costs me less chakra to use it though
"Dai, you will be monitoring that guy for the rest of your time here until I call for you," he said as he gave me a file and pointed towards a shinobi of cloud.
I read the file and was surprised
"Why are you acting surprised by this? you are the same level as him," asked kakashi as he eyed me suspiciously
"Not anymore," I said to kakashi sensei as I left with the speed that he could not see

The name of the target is Kenma Shinta, it is suspected that through direct or indirect involvement he has a scroll that is of importance to the village

Noice, I can take him down easily with a simple wind chakra infused kunai and swift release, no problem
Though I had to follow him for two whole days which halted my training, all I could do was keep sensing the natural energy around me, though I don't dare to use it yet I don't wanna turn to stone
By the second day, I saw Biscuit coming to me and telling me to meet kakashi at the recon point
"Good news and bad news," said kakashi as he raised two fingers
Although I am a little irked that he did not tell me about the mission properly but what can I do
"Sigh, good news please," I said tiredly though I am not tired due to my new skill Regeneration in play
"I have found the Scroll we are looking for and it's something that you might like or maybe take an interest in", he said
"Continue" I urged him to go on
he put down his second finger as he said
"Second, it's in the headquarters, the building where the Raikage is"

In the dead of the night, two ninja figures can be seen sneaking inside the building in stealth
One looks like an adult in standard ninja clothing of Konoha, the other looks like a casual civilian on a stroll as he avoids certain shinobi like he knows where they are.
"Are you sure it's here, if we are found the whole village will be onto us" Dai asked Kakashi as they silently hid from a duo of jonin ninja
"Don't worry according to my reports , The Raikage is not here yet and anyone else will be taken care of by me....i also have an escape plan"
after some time , they finally found the place where the scroll was hidden but the problem was the guards situated at the place.
