The blade glowed brightly, infused with Scorch Release chakra. With Kyomu's immense strength, speed, and explosive power, it transformed into a purple color the instant it appeared.
The scorching temperature made the surrounding air roll and distort, but to Moryo, it seemed like child's play.
Although the temperature of the purple flames was as high as the surface of the sun, it did not harm Moryo. No matter how powerful, it was meaningless if it couldn't cause damage.
He chuckled. Composed of purple-red natural energy, Moryo didn't dodge Kyomu's attack.
The blade struck, splitting Moryo's body in two and creating a massive wound.
However, Kyomu saw that Moryo's mocking expression only grew more arrogant.
Like steam cut by a blade, Moryo's mist-like body quickly reformed, closing the gap in an instant.
"Kyomu, right?" Moryo stood still, "Your power is impressive. I admire it. Become my general and share this world with me."
Kyomu said nothing, his figure flickered, appearing beside Moryo without any delay.
He swung his blade horizontally!
This time, Kyomu used no chakra, relying solely on his speed, strength, explosive power, and the sharpness of Yoei, along with its ability to sever, guide, and absorb souls.
Swish.
The blade cut through Moryo's body, causing his mist-like form to tremble.
"Ah!"
A scream filled with pain and anger echoed. Moryo's glowing red eyes stared at Kyomu, losing the will to continue speaking.
That blade was strange!
Realizing this, Moryo no longer wanted to be a target and began to fight back.
"If you wish to die, I'll oblige!"
"Annoying bug!"
Kyomu coldly responded. It seemed Moryo had become quite talkative after being sealed for so long.
Kyomu disliked this, so he attacked more ruthlessly.
Instant movement.
In a flash, Kyomu repositioned to Moryo's right side, slashing with Yoei.
Simultaneously, Moryo reacted, attacking Kyomu with unmatched speed and reflexes.
Kyomu's eyes narrowed, realizing he had underestimated Moryo.
Natural energy's uniqueness was indeed incomparable to chakra.
Perfect Sage Mode could grant speed comparable to, or even exceeding, the Third Raikage to a shinobi not originally skilled in speed.
Moreover, Sage Mode endowed even those who had never practiced sensory ninjutsu with sensory abilities rivaling or surpassing the strongest in the shinobi world.
This explained a lot, not to mention Moryo's body, composed entirely of natural energy without any chakra.
Tentacle-like purple-red energy struck at Kyomu's waist as he swung his blade.
Moryo's large form and powerful soul could withstand several blows from Yoei, but Kyomu's fragile body couldn't endure many fatal attacks.
Void Release: Dimensional Slash: Instant!
Kyomu chose not to take the hit, using his spatial bloodline limit to vanish and reappear elsewhere without delay.
However, his attack continued, with his body and strike separated.
Thud.
Moryo's attack missed, but Kyomu's Yoei struck again.
"Ah! I will kill you!"
Moryo screamed in pain, his purple-red energy surging, sending a barrage of energy tentacles at Kyomu's landing spot.
With his spatial bloodline limit, Kyomu remained unfazed. Moryo's attacks posed no threat to him.
Void Release: Dimensional Slash: Reverse!
Kyomu flickered again, leaving only the blade's light in his previous position. Simultaneously, Yoei's blades surrounded Moryo, each strike real and equally powerful.
Moryo was baffled. How could Kyomu do this?
Could Yoei multiply?
Thud thud thud.
Moryo hurriedly blocked, deflecting all of Yoei's strikes, but he couldn't stop the damage to his soul.
The searing pain felt like being fried, causing Moryo's form to ripple, parts of it beginning to dissipate.
"This is impossible!" Moryo twisted his head, staring at Kyomu with red eyes, "How can you control space? You're just an ant! Why?"
"Maybe I'm a bigger ant," Kyomu replied.
"A big ant is still an ant!" Moryo roared, launching a full-scale counterattack.
Without special techniques, he relied on brute force, massive natural energy forming waves that surged towards Kyomu, creating a vortex that aimed to tear him apart.
Kyomu frowned, realizing the power of the energy.
"What immense energy!" he thought. "Such abundant energy twists the space around me. I can even feel time affected."
Blocking with his hand, Kyomu found his previously swift movements slowed. It wasn't that he was slower, but the flow of time around him was distorted by the massive natural energy.
Void Release: Dimensional Slash: Break!
Without hesitation, he channeled wind, yin, and lightning chakra, merging them into his unique spatial bloodline limit, infusing it into the surrounding space through Yoei.
Condense!
The energy vortex abruptly halted, and the distorted space solidified.
However, within a certain range, the flow of time remained misaligned with the overall timeline due to the natural energy.
Ignoring this, Kyomu focused all his might on slashing towards Moryo!
As he completed his swing, Moryo, expecting to see Kyomu's miserable state, froze. He couldn't move at all.
Crack, crack, crack.
Horizontal and vertical, countless intersecting straight lines of space cracks encompassed a fifty-meter diameter, including most of Moryo's body.
"Break!"
Kyomu shouted, finishing his swing.
Crash.
When the swing was complete, the cracked space within fifty meters shattered like a mirror. Everything within was torn apart into smooth, irregular fragments, falling to the ground.
Simultaneously, the shattered space reformed, resetting as if refreshed, erasing everything that had existed there.
Moryo couldn't escape. Despite being composed entirely of natural energy, he couldn't escape.
Natural energy relies on nature. While nature's destructive and creative powers are strong, they only influence space. Destruction requires specific methods.
Clearly, Moryo only used brute force, unleashing primal natural power, unable to utilize it more precisely or effectively.
This was Moryo's disadvantage, and the disadvantage of not undergoing systematic training.
Moryo screamed again.
"Roar!"
This time, the scream turned into a beastly roar, revealing his true form. He was severely injured, hence abandoning his disguise.
Seeing his body shrink by half, Moryo retreated, intending to heal before fighting Kyomu again.
His plan was good, but Kyomu wouldn't miss such a golden opportunity.
Moryo, a natural energy aggregate, could absorb surrounding natural energy to replenish himself, but this process took time. Just like tailed beasts don't die permanently, but their revival takes time.
Seize the moment!
Void Release: Dimensional Slash: Instant!
Kyomu took a step, flashing behind Moryo, thrusting Yoei forward.
Moryo reacted, but the situation wasn't as he expected.
Kyomu did stab from behind, but Yoei's attack ignored spatial distance and constraints, piercing Moryo from a different direction.
Thud.
The purple-red energy rippled as Yoei, held by Kyomu's right hand, pierced Moryo from above.
Moryo couldn't roar. His purple-red energy formed a whip, striking at Kyomu's waist.
Did it hit?
It did. Kyomu stood still, not dodging.
But Moryo's attack vanished on contact, confusing him.
Simultaneously, Moryo's attack appeared beside him, striking himself.
"This is wrong, impossible! How can you manipulate space so easily?" Moryo's eyes showed fear, his voice trembling.
"Space has folding, reflection, segmentation, and other properties. Used properly, hitting me means hitting yourself," Kyomu explained kindly. "Now, you can die knowing why."
Instant movement.
Kyomu flickered ten meters away, swinging Yoei casually.
"This is the folding and reflection of space, called 'Reverse'!"
Before the words fell, Yoei disappeared, traveling through the folded space without delay, striking Moryo again.
And not just once.
With spatial reflection, Kyomu's attack split into two, then four, then eight, each following its spatial folding path, ignoring distance and all being real attacks, targeting Moryo's vital points.
Thud thud thud.
Yoei stabbed into Moryo's purple-red body, and when Kyomu withdrew the blade, it drew out clusters of gray-white 'energy balls.'
These were Moryo's soul fragments.
"I apologize for my previous words and submit to you as your most loyal subordinate."
Moryo began to plead. Yoei's ability to harm souls made him fear death, knowing that continuing the fight would mean his soul would be shattered, with no chance of revival.
"You're just afraid of dying, not wanting to be my lackey. Isn't that funny?"
Kyomu's voice was icy as he attacked again with the same technique.
"Please, spare me. I know many things..."
Before he finished, Yoei, enhanced by spatial folding and reflection, pierced Moryo again, pulling out more gray-white soul fragments.
This time, Moryo had no strength left to speak. His massive purple-red energy body was beyond his control.
Like a drunken man, Moryo couldn't control his limbs or body, his weakened soul losing command.
"Please, I still have value..." Moryo begged Kyomu, truly fearing death and realizing his grave mistake.
"Do you think I pity you?"
Kyomu swung Yoei again, stabbing Moryo's head, stirring it. Moryo's red eyes froze in final terror, quickly dimming and losing all light.
"If begging worked, what use would blades have?"
Withdrawing Yoei, the last fragment of Moryo's soul was pulled out.
With a flick of the blade, the soul fragment shattered into gray-white particles, which flowed up the blade and into Kyomu's body.
A shiver ran through Kyomu, feeling invigorated like eating ginseng, almost overwhelming him.
His mind clearer, senses sharper, his combat power slightly increased.
"Eating souls really works. But just your soul isn't enough; I want your body too."
Looking at the remaining pure natural energy body, Kyomu licked his lips.
As long as it's not human, it can be eaten!
And the more nourishing, the better. Otherwise, it wouldn't justify being a 'foodie.'
