Perhaps, my mind could not forget about the recent events in my life. All I could see in my dreams were faces of people. The faces which were not clear but something about them felt awfully familiar. Then I saw myself tied on that chair. I knew it was no dream but the reality of a few hours ago. Then the scene in my dream shifted to that of the violent beating Karan imparted on Mark. I flinched as I thought of how powerfully he kicked Mark. Everything again went blank. This time what I saw behind my closed eyelids was the scene of Karan struggling and begging me to not go.

It was that moment when my eyes flew open. Dazed, I looked around. My eyes failed to register my surroundings.

Where was I? My pillow felt different and my body was aching. I blinked a couple of times to chase sleep out of my eyes.
