Chapter 4 – Weddings and New Alliances

The days before the wedding were exceptionally busy, it would take nearly two weeks for Lord Stark to arrive and so a wedding feast and tourney were planned and Viserys had invited nobles from all over the Seven Kingdoms to attend and even some from Dorne. The Martells and their vassals had 'politely' declined but had sent a pair of fine Dornish horses as a wedding gift.

Harry meanwhile was growing more and more nervous as the day got closer, the sheer scale of the wedding and the fact that his life had changed beyond all recognition was starting to get to him, he had never really thought about getting married although somewhere in the back of his mind he had always known it could and likely would happen given his position as heir to House Peverell. Now it seemed he was faced with a marriage to a girl he hardly knew, but he thought to himself as he straightened his back with resolve he would do his best to be a good husband to her and for that reason he was trying to get used to the fact that his wife to be was a dragonrider and would be bringing her dragon with her. However it was not going well as he dodged yet another attempt by Visenya's dragon to knock him down with her tail.

"Rani! Don't do that." Visenya said sternly to her dragon who only huffed as if annoyed and turned her head away. Visenya only sighed and seeing his worry reassured him. "She's just doesn't like getting used to new people but she will behave once she's settled, I swear."

Harry only nodded, not sure this was going to be such a good idea to have a dragon around Godric's Hollow and vowed to keep an eye on his siblings whenever they were near it. He was only glad with all the tension around that they had been left at home with Uncle Sirius and Aunt Amelia.

A sudden whoosh of noise surprised both Harry and Visenya, Rani quickly turned in the direction it came from and blasted a fireball in the same direction but when Harry turned he started smiling as his Phoenix appeared and gracefully dodged the fireball before landing on his arm.

"Hello Fawkes." Harry said warmly as stroked the bird's plumage. Fawkes shrilled gently as he enjoyed the petting and its shrill echoed in them, creating feelings of joy in both Harry and Visenya while Rani just stared at the strange bird not knowing what to make of it. Seeing this made Harry realise Visenya was staring in confusion at where the feelings had come from.

"This is my Phoenix friend Fawkes." Harry told her with a smile. "His song is magical, it can stir feelings in others at will."

"Really?" Visenya asked with excitement coming into her voice at the sound of magic, her family had always been interested in magic given their connection to Freehold but it was so rare now that any mention of it intrigued them, the only other magical creature in this world was the dragon. She wanted to reach out and touch the bird but hesitated, not sure if she'd been welcome but Fawkes as he was apparently known seemed to sense her anxiety and started gently humming which made her feel calmer. So with an encouraging nod from Harry she reached out and carefully stroked the bird's plumage, Fawkes preened at the attention which made her smile and she continued now with more confidence as Harry explained more about the Phoenix. He was glad that his future wife seemed unfazed by magic as she would no doubt be exposed to it at Godric's Hollow and their future children (that thought shook him slightly) would hopefully have magic themselves.

"Apart from their song, the Phoenix can carry immense weights with ease and their tears have incredible healing abilities." Harry told her as she petted the bird. "But they can travel by fire to anywhere in the world in moments and when they die they are reborn from their own ashes as a fresh chick."

"Really!" Visenya said amazed and Fawkes proudly shrilled again which brought a chuckle to both of them and a snort of annoyance from Rani who looked worried for some reason. Visenya suddenly realised what was worrying her dragon and she said as she reached out with her other hand and gently petted her dragon's claw. "You're not being replaced! We're partners for life you and me okay?" She said with a big smile.

Rani seemed to not be entirely convinced by that at first but lowered her large head so Visenya could pet it, shaking slightly in happiness at the attention.

Harry sighed with exasperation, animal familiars…high maintenance indeed.

-x-

While Harry and Visenya were getting to know each other's familiars, their mothers sat sipping tea in a comfortable room as they by large stared at each other.

"So a slight break on the tax for export of goods and recommendations with official backing of the crown, reasonable...I would have expected much more from a family trying to rise in status." Rhaenyra said critically as she looked at Lily with a slight veil of contempt and arrogance. Lily however did her best to not react and said back with a calm and level tone.

"My family has always believed you should only ask for what you truly need and wherever possible to earn your accomplishments with hard work. Fame is not our goal, success at least financially and in security are our aims." Lily told her as she sipped her tea.

Rhaenyra looked rather dismissive of that, clearly either thinking her a liar or a simpleton so Lily decided on making her offer that hopefully would see more noble houses eager to trade with them and had to stop herself slapping the superior look off this entitled bitch's face.

"I have had four children, did you know that?" She told Rhaenyra who looked at her slim waist with considerable doubt. "The potions that we have provided to your royal father which have already I understand eased his gout and other ailments...are not the only ones we have. There are many others including the ones that ease pregnancy to make carrying the child easier and lose the weight gained afterwards when combined with decent physical exercise. Ladies Blackwood, Mallister and Frey have all enjoyed the benefits as have I." She said slyly, not caring whether it upset 'her grace' or not but the point would be made.

-x-

Rhaenyra looked ready to explode at the mention of her gaining weight and trouble at carrying children that she had experienced recently, there had been so narrow misses while carrying her last two Aegon and Viserys and she honestly worried that maybe it would be a portent of things to come. Those potions if they could do what the peasant across from her was saying might be a vital aid to her and with a touch of vanity, she longed with a slight pang to have some of her beauty back.

It was enough to make her swallow her pride and try to ask more politely.

"Would it be possible to see some of these...potions?"

Lady Peverell merely smiled but there was a glint of triumph in her eyes, that caused Rhaenyra to revise her opinion of House Peverell. They were no simpletons...they knew how to play this game and perhaps might be a worthy ally after all.

The next day a ship from White Harbour finally brought Lord Cregan Stark to Kings Landing. They were all waiting to greet the Lord of the North who already had quite a reputation after overthrowing his uncle who had tried to usurp his rightful seat. While they stood on the quay side to meet him he stepped off the boat wearing sturdy leather rather than any other type of material more common in the south, despite being only a few short years older than Harry himself he already had a full beard of thick brown hair and wore both his beard and his hair longer than most men.

His eyes were stern though and it made him seem far older than he really was but Harry and his family knew the Northern mindset, like them they did whatever it took to survive and conserved their strength for when it was truly needed. They did not bother with pointless displays to stroke the ego or show off to others. Stay true to your word. Speak plainly and to the point, no flowery words or pointless pondering that was the way to talk to a Northerner.

"Lord Stark, thank you for coming at such short notice. Myself and Princess Visenya are most grateful for your officiating at our wedding." Harry said with a small smile and a slight bow. Visenya at his side gave him a smile and a curtsey.

"Two weeks on a ship for only a week in the capital before two weeks back, away from my son and after only a year of burying my wife. If it was not a royal command I would not have come." Cregan said his Northern accent thick and showing his displeasure. Visenya instantly looked a little uneasy at his words but Harry only replied back calmly without anger.

"Hopefully then this business here should only keep you here a short time and my family has some propositions for you." Harry said before adding. "My family has recently acquired a foodstuff that is perfect for growing in the marshlands of the Neck that you might find very useful. Also we have far better prices for glass than Myr and should you like to build more glasshouses we can surely provide the necessary materials. Worth the trip I hope." He said with a slight smile.

Cregan looked at him with disbelief and mistrust for a moment before nodded slowly, willing to hear them out but no more. Some of the smaller Northern families had bought glass from the Peverells in the past but if they got him to accept their glass then the other big Northern houses would follow.

Harry and Visenya then offered him and his men horses while they found their own mounts and led them back to the Red Keep.

-x-

A couple of short hours later in a room of the Red Keep Harry sat with his mother and father in front of Lord Stark demonstrating what they were offering him.

"This is rice." Lily said showing him a pile of the grains which she held in the palm of her hand. "It is grown in wetlands and only really needs to be boiled in hot water to be edible. It can be served with nearly anything and the best advantage of this foodstuff is that it can be stored for a long time without spoiling, for the North I think you can see the implications." Lily said with a small smile as she passed him the rice grains she had in her hand. Cregan looked at them disbelievingly so she got up from her seat and poured a small bag into a boiling pot over the nearby fire which they had prepared in case a demonstration was needed.

They sat in silence for a while as the rice cooked, eventually when it was ready they removed it and after a short wait so it could cool, James carefully put a small amount onto a plate. He took a spoon and tasted it, to prove it was not poison and Stark looked carefully at both of them for a moment before taking the spoon and tasting it himself.

Stark didn't seem to know what to make of it, certainly edible but an unknown taste. The Peverells all smiled and Lily told him.

"All manner of spices and other dishes can be served with rice to give the meal more punch or favour, even on its own it is a decent meal that needs little preparation, imagine how useful this would be in the North during winter." Lily said, knowing how harsh things could get up there, they could really use this.

And judging from the look of conflict on his face she could see that Cregan had realised the usefulness of this too, his land always had the worst winters, like Russia in her original world. A white frozen hell that would kill a lot of people, no wonder his house had chosen the words 'Winter is Coming'. However he seemed doubtful that it was all that they claimed.

Harry then had an idea which he hoped would make him consider this.

"During the wedding you will have ample opportunity to think on this and given how little use the marshes of the Neck are to you outside of defensive measures it would be a real boon, not to mention the influx of labour and coin could allow you to rebuild Moat Cailin as a centre for processing and selling."

Cregan instantly looked at him suspiciously but the mention of the great stronghold that had allowed the North to resist Andal invasion was something he could not ignore. He frowned and said.

"I will consult with my retinue and speak to you again later. Such an endeavour is not something one should embark on blindly." Cregan said with a note of finality. Nothing more would sway him they realised with annoyance, he would think on it and then make his judgement and stick to it.

Still they consoled themselves, he hadn't said no.

-x-

The following day was the day they had all been waiting for, the wedding.

Harry paced around the room in his best silks, made especially for the day but also he had the best quality leather jerkin over in with golden stitching. He pulled unconsciously at it, not able to stay still or avoid doing something with his hands as his nerves tightened and anxiety grew with every passing moment.

This was supposed to be the most important day of his life and honestly he had never been more nervous in his life.

When the knock came at his door he almost jumped out of his skin, barely managing to say a quick "Come in" before resuming his pacing.

His parents appeared at the door, also dressed in their best and smiling but when they saw how nervous their son was walked quickly in and put a comforting hand on his shoulder and guided him to the bed, sitting down either side of him.

"I know you're nervous son." Lily said with a sad smile. "It's a big change in your life, both your lives but it is not the end...just a new beginning."

"Tied forever to a girl I hardly know, all because I leapt in without thinking." Harry said glumly his head now resting in his hands with anxiety and regret.

"Just like many of your ancestors, just like me." James said with a smile which got him a glare from Lily but he put his arm around his son and told him. "We can't always chose our path in life, I was in love with your mother the moment I saw her. I knew I wouldn't spend my life with any woman other than her, I was lucky that she felt the same about me." James told him feeling suddenly much older than he had ever done before.

"You might not know Visenya very well...yet but you have the rest of your lives to fix that. You know what you both want and where you both stand. That is a good place to start building a marriage...a future life together." James told his eldest son before adding. "Besides she's got a dragon, how cool is that?" He said with a mischievous smile.

Lily looked surprised at his maturity and smiled before shaking her head at his last words. She too put her arm around her son and Harry finally stopped fidgeting with his clothes and started to calm down.

-x-

In another room Visenya likewise was sitting on a bed in the most splendid dress she had ever worn, made of Simmering silk with a magnificent gold chain around her neck and belt around her waist. Her hair had been done in a long single silver plat that went over her left shoulder before ending in gentle waves while delicate golden roses from Highgarden were woven into it. Her face had been painted to bring out her eyes making them larger and more luminous while her lips were a very dark pink, almost red. Her cousin Rhaena dressed in a simpler dress carefully put a tiara made of white gold with seven small rubies in a line on her head.

Visenya caught sight of herself in the mirror and wondered where the hell this woman had come from, where had she been before?

"You look like a goddess come to life sister." Jacaerys said with awe, looking at his big sister with adoration. Lucerys, Joffrey, Aegon and Viserys doing the same while Baela and Rhaena gave her looks of approval. This should have relaxed her...but it didn't.

When she had woken up this morning she had suddenly realised something that had never crossed her mind before, yes going to Godric's Hollow would mean at last being free of the tense atmosphere of court but also she would for the first time in her life be separated from her younger brothers not to mention her cousins, she would not see them everyday...hear their worries, hear their dreams and hopes and plans. Laugh and cry with them all the time.

Her family was being taken apart, honestly this felt like she was never going to see any of them again.

This showed on her face and her siblings crowded around her, Jacaerys took her hand and said.

"What's wrong? If you don't want to get married, we could get our dragons to eat him?" He said with a slight smile hoping to get her to say whatever was bothering her. She laughed, knowing they would not really do that and with a sad smile told them.

"This means I'm moving away, it feels like I'm never going to see any of you again." She said with a slight watering of her eyes. She had never really wanted her mother's comfort before but right now she would give nearly anything for her mother to come in and hug her. However Visenya thought with bitterness that was never going to happen, her mother occasionally gave affection to her sons but for as long as she could remember Rhaenyra had only looked at her as a piece on the cyvasse board. She would tell her to stop being silly and do her duty by her family, she knew that but still a yearning for some support from her mother would not go away.

However she felt her hands being grasped gently and looked to see all her brothers had come over and were taking a hold of her hands or arms while Baela and Rhaena smiled gently and put theirs on her shoulders. The security that gave her made her feel so much better, regardless of wherever they were they would always love each other.

"We'll visit all the time, you'll be sick of us." Lucerys said eagerly and she had to try and stop crying because if she became any more emotional, her make up would run she thought and with determination thought she would not turn up to her own wedding looking a mess.

The sun shone in the sky as all the nobles gathered in the Red Keep's Godwood to see the first Old Gods wedding to be performed here in the castle's entire history.

Harry with his parents stood at the base of the tree, nervously waiting the arrival of Visenya and her grandfather. The number of people certainly hadn't helped ease his nerves but when he saw Visenya being led by her grandfather he honestly stopped thinking and could not help but stare at her in awe. It had always been said by his father that his mother Lily was the most beautiful woman in the whole world and to this point Harry had always agreed with him...until he saw Visenya.

He honestly blinked, not sure if it was the woman he was supposed to be marrying, she looked positively angelic and more than a few people gasped at the sight of her. Harry smugly thought that many of those lords would be regretting not taking the chance to marry her now but really he was so in awe of her it was all he could do to stop himself from staring at her with his mouth hanging open. His father and mother smiled knowingly but said nothing.

On the arm of her grandfather she finally reached him and gave him a nervous smile as she came up to stand next to him, the king had noticeable tears in his eyes as he looked at his granddaughter standing there looking like a goddess about to marry and start a family of her own. He was not alone as all her siblings and two cousins Baela and Rhaena smiled at the sight, the Greens that had attended all were quietly smirking, not yet aware of the error they had made in their judgement of the Peverells but the mother of the bride Rhaenyra and Daemon were as uncaring as stone standing there completely stern faced.

This did not however put off Cregan Stark who stood there as serious as ever and spoke in his loud baritone.

"Who comes before the Old Gods this day?"

"Visenya of House Targaryen." King Viserys said with a smile still on his face. "Comes here to be wed. A woman grown, true born and noble. She comes to beg the blessings of the Gods, who comes to claim her?"

There were some quiet scoffs at that from Aegon and his brother Aemond at her being 'true born and noble', both loud enough to be heard by Viserys who shot both of them a stern and hard glare, shutting them up immediately.

Harry ignored both of them as he stepped forward, planning quietly in his own mind to make them pay for that later.

"Harry of House Peverell heir to Godric's Hollow. Who gives her?" Harry said as he stood next to his father, proudly smiling at Visenya who smiled back. Viserys seemed to hesitate for a second before saying.

"Viserys of House Targaryen, who is her grandfather and King of Westeros." He said with a tear running down his cheek.

Cregan nodded and turned to Visenya.

"Princess Visenya, do you take this man?" Cregan asked her.

"I take this man." She said stepping forward till she was face to face with Harry just in front of Cregan. He turned to Harry who took her hand and said.

"I take this woman."

"By the blessing and will of the Old Gods, you are now man and wife." Cregan decreed and Harry without missing a beat gently kissed Visenya. She responded and a cheer went up across the Godswood from the Peverells and the Blacks with a polite applause from the Greens.

-x-

They all then adjourned to enjoy the special feast that had been laid out for them, a large number of tables with dancers, musicians and fools performing to entertain the guests who sat around enjoying the food.

At the head table Viserys sat enjoying the performers while Harry, Visenya and their immediate families all made light conversation. Harry and Visenya sat next to each other, glad that the Old Gods did not require a bedding ceremony so that spared them that particular indignity.

Looking out they saw Lord Cregan was at his table with the few Northern nobles that had accompanied him sitting much more sedately unlike the other guests and were slightly put off by his lack of enthusiasm although they knew full well his heart was back at Winterfell with his son. Then they were surprised to see Rhaena sitting at their table and started engaging them in conversation and looking at Lord Stark with curiosity and he seemed confused at her intensity.

Eventually after a few hours with speeches and displays and a few different courses they retired to a room in the Red Keep and the sight of the bed waiting in the centre made both Harry and Visenya nervous as neither of them had any experience with...that. Visenya in particular had never even really been given any advice my her mother or members of her family. She knew it could hurt but nothing more.

Harry saw how scared she looked and came over and gently told her.

"We don't have to do anything tonight." He reassured her and she looked at him surprised, she had been told all her life that men only wanted sex.

"But my family? Yours?" She spluttered but he said with a warm smile.

"I don't care about them, I care about you. You will not have to be bedded until you want too and if they have a problem with that, then I have a problem with them." Harry told her with a reassuring smile.

That sent a wave of relief through her as she felt a huge pressure leave her shoulders, it also brought a little warmth to her heart as she realised her new husband was more noble than most knights could dream of being.

"No I want too." She said with a blush coming to her cheeks. "I just don't know much about it."

"Okay." Harry said gently as he took her hand. "We'll take it slow."

Disrobing was incredibly awkward for both of them and it was hard not to try and hide themselves as they stood there naked in front of each other. They took their time, slowly exploring each other's bodies till they started to become more confident and at ease with each other, so when they finally came together it was the most intense moment of both their lives.

When they finally emerged from their rooms the follow day it was purely hunger that drove them out, finding only Baela in the hall having an early lunch. She smirked at the sight of them and said with a sly look in her eyes.

"Enjoy last night?"

They both blushed at the memory but took their seats and started eating, Visenya then noticed Rhaena who usually accompanied her sister everywhere was nowhere to be seen and quickly changed the subject.

"Where's Rhaena?"

"Oh, speaking with the King, father and Lord Stark." Baela said with a smirk, enjoying the surprise on their faces before adding to it. "It seems that she became very 'acquainted' with Lord Stark last night and now he has 'dishonoured her' Lord Stark is intent on marrying her."

Harry and Visenya both blinked blankly in shock, unable to believe that one act could have so many implications or that the fun loving Rhaena had somehow many to crack that hard Northern exterior. They were fully aware that Rhaena was supposed to marry Lucerys but now it seemed she might be marrying Lord Stark instead.

"How is Daemon taking it?" Visenya asked, wondering if her stepfather/possible biological father/great uncle was with his daughter marrying into another house. Baela only kept smiling as she told them.

"Oh, he's very pleased about it. His daughter marrying into the powerful North, thinks it makes the Blacks all the more powerful when joined with the Peverells and our other allies." Baela said with a roll of her eyes, all her father seemed to think of was power and was suddenly glad that that she had not been the one that bedded Lord Stark as she was betrothed to Jaecerys and her father wanted her to be his queen. It also meant that they were now able to find a new alliance match for Lucerys which pleased her stepmother and the boy's mother.

Visenya nodded and wondered how this might effect the balance of power, before all this the Blacks and Greens were more or less even with the Greens being slightly stronger. But the Peverells and the Starks now being on their side would upset that balance, the coming war was sure to be even more brutal because of that she worried.

-x-

Lily and James were busy meanwhile negotiating the agreement to grow rice with Lords Reed and Karstark who were here in Cregan's stead while he talked with the king.

"Here, the stone to rebuild Moat Cailin can come from our quarry at a reduced price. Enough to rebuild the walls and keep in stone rather than wood, Lord Frey will be pleased of the toll he can collect I'm sure." Lily said, glad that Lord Frey was not so greedy he would demand huge tolls as some of his ancestors might have done. It was easier than transporting it by sea.

Both Northern lords looked at the agreement one last time and added their signatures when they were satisfied as it would no doubt give the North a strong new foodstuff they could grow themselves and improve their defences at the same time. It was a perfect deal for the North.

They had also agreed to reinstitute the practice of execution and feeding blood to the Weirwoods, for a year as a trial period. If it paid off then they would ensure it was made law once again.

Lily smiled in satisfaction as at last she had the Northern alliance they had wanted, feeling far more secure in their position. She was planning to give a Valyrian steel sword to Ser Kermit Tully once they returned which she hoped would ensure a strong bond with the future heir to Riverrun and given they had a large number of Valyrian weapons she wondered if she could offer them as gifts in future deals to gain alliances.

The other houses that had sided with the Blacks would be a good place to start, many of the Crownlands houses were with them already and she could assist the Blackwoods in gaining control of more of the ruined castles in the Riverlands to increase their power since they already had an alliance. House Mallister and House Piper had both requested to open trade talks with them and so she knew combined with them they would have a very strong position at home.

The other houses though she thought with a frown, she couldn't be sure about some of them yet as a few looked likely to jump ship the moment things were not going their way. She would have to be more selective in who she called friends.

-x-

The next day saw Rhaena quickly wed to Cregan Stark in another Old Gods ceremony but it was Viserys that officiated and Daemon that walked the bride to the tree. Visenya and Harry watched as guests and smiled as Cregan took Rhaena as his new wife. She looked happy and for the first time since they had met him, Cregan smiled a tiny little smile too.

It meant a slight delay in the tourney the king had planned but only a day so the following afternoon they all sat on the stands watching the melee, the jousting having had several rounds earlier that day and would continue tomorrow.

The Crownlands went first with each of the houses having a team competing against each other, the fact that the Greens and Blacks had separate teams did not seem to surprise anyone and the fact Viserys did not seem to even realise it was a worrying statement of his own awareness. But surely all the other teams were eliminated until only the Blacks and Greens remained. Aegon was duelling with his uncle Daemon, Blackfyre and Dark Sister clashing on the field while the only other members of their teams Aemond and Jacaerys fought not too far away.

"Come on bastard, just give up and go back to hiding behind your mother like your vermin brothers or whore of a sister." Aemond taunted with a vicious smirk, he had been eager to make the little bastard pay since the incident where this very little piece of shit had cost him his eye and was not swinging to disable or wound.

After all...he thought with eagerness...accidents happen in tourneys.

Jacaerys meanwhile was sweating with fear as this was his first tourney and here he was facing off against his far more experienced uncle who he noticed was actually trying to hurt him, his stepfather/great uncle was too busy with Aegon to help him. It was taking all the skill he had to avoid the strikes being sent his way as he held Darkfyre firmly in his hands.

However as the fight wore on it seemed to Jacaerys that time was slowing down, his uncle moving more slowly which was how he was avoiding his strikes and this strangeness had stopped him lashing out as he wasn't sure if his uncle was playing him, he was going mad or something magical was happening. Finally though as the last insult was piled on, Jacaerys finally snapped and rather than take one of his eyes like he had last time he struck at gap in the plate armour around Aemond's knee, sticking his sword in and twisting it before pulling it out.

Aemond screamed the most shrill scream ever and fell immediately as his leg could no longer support his weight. Jacaerys knocked his sword away and gave him a nasty smirk while thinking that no one got to insult his brothers and sister like that before smashing the pommel of his sword straight into Aemond's helm covered him, knocking him out. He quickly turned and ran over to Daemon while Aegon had his back turned to him and made a show of swinging for his uncle's neck, stopping only when a breath away from breaking his flesh.

Aegon was so surprised by this he could stop or protect himself when Daemon disarmed him and a cry of applause went up through the stands and they were declared the winners.

Few noticed Aegon storm off in a huff or the greens taking the wounded Aemond for treatment.

-x-

Aemond cried out in pain as the Grandmaester tended to his wounds and told him that he would need a stick to walk now and would likely never fight again unless it was mounted on a horse or dragon.

Alicent and Aegon fumed at the wounds inflicted on him but now the Peverells were leaving for their home and Rhaenyra had taken her brood to Dragonstone at Viserys' suggestion there was little they could do to retaliate and vowed once they came to power that the Peverells and the Blacks would pay dearly for this.

"At least the Blacks' darling princess is now rotting in mud with the rest of her poor goodfamily." Aegon said with a grim satisfaction, however his mother said nothing as she frowned. The Peverells might be nobody's but now the Blacks had married one of their own in House Stark that could be a major problem in the future, the North was hard to invade and given they had a land border with a hostile area had a lot of experience in war. That thought was derailed when Ser Tyland Lannister, the Master of Ships spoke.

"Your graces, you are aware that the Peverells are a wealthy family that trades far and wide aren't you? And are likely to only expand on that now they have the blessing of the King?" He said cautiously, not sure if they were aware of this. He had only just learnt of it himself from his brother Jasen, the current head of House Lannister on his recent visit home to see his young nephew which was why he had not been here prior to the wedding.

"What?!" Aegon said with sudden anger and Tyland swallowed his nerves before telling them what he knew of their trading and significant army. Far less than his brother who was smarter than him but enough for them to grasp the truth, that the Peverells were far from the weak nobodies the Grandmaester had labelled them as and in fact were both wealthy and powerful, now more than ever. The Grandmaester and Master of Laws both quickly left the room, worried their blunder would be held against them while Alicent took a deep drink of wine as she saw their plan backfire on them. Her sons raged at how this would not stop them taking their revenge but she could only hope Visenya and Rhaena both died in childbirth or something since the marriages were lawful and consummated.

Godric's Hollow, a few days later…

Visenya smiled wide as she saw the large town of Godric's Hollow beneath her, she had heard of the dark reputation of Harrenhal but it was forgotten the moment she saw the glasshouses, workshops and all the other sights of her new home. She landed at castle when the rest of the household had gathered to meet them and the sight of her dragon definitely scared some of them but they stayed disciplined and just eyed the dragon warily.

She dismounted and was immediately confronted by the three younger members of House Peverell, twin fourteen year old girls and a young boy of ten that instantly stared at her with mistrust. She was a bit put off by this as they demanded.

"You stole our big brother from us."

She didn't know what to say until Harry's stern voice instantly stopped them.

"Behave! Princess Visenya did not 'steal' me as you say, we both were brought together by the king and she is now my wife, a member of our house and your big sister so treat her better or I will tan your hides." Harry told them sternly while his parents talked to Sirius and Amelia. His siblings instantly looked ashamed and said quietly.

"We're sorry Harry." They all looked sad and she realised it was because their eldest brother was mad at them, she now smiled knowing this was the kind of bond she shared with her brothers and she told them.

"It's alright, it was a surprise for all of us and I am glad to finally meet you and see your home after Harry described it all to me." She said kindly and smiled at them, they looked at her unsure for a moment before smiling back. Harry decided to introduce them.

"These are my darling siblings Serenity and Melody." He said indicating the twin girls who Visenya noticed were both already very pretty with slim and graceful figures and glorious red hair like their mother. Boys would surely be drawn to the girls like moths to a flame she thought with slight amusement.

"And this is my younger brother Godric." Harry said to the younger boy that looked like a shorter version of him, clearly taking after his father just like his elder brother. He smiled with pride at Harry who gave him and his sisters a hug. "Visenya has a few brothers too, maybe she could tell you about them?"

That she was only too happy to do and while she was doing this an older man with Valyrian features came up to her, she was very surprised to see him there.

"Your grace, welcome to Godric's Hollow. I am Ettas the current master of the Arts Academy here, if you are willing then I will be the one painting the portrait."
