"Um..."
Joanna Lawrence touched her face, feeling a bit embarrassed.
She slept well last night. She didn't know why she felt so sleepy today at noon.
"Did you sleep well?" Joanna turned her head to look at him, thinking that he seemed much more rejuvenated, no longer looking as haggard as before.
"Yes, very well."
A smile of satisfaction tugged at Ashton Heath's lips: "Joanna, thank you."
Even if it were only a short hour, the relief it brought to his body and mind was significant.
The quality of that one hour of sleep was much better than that of the three or four hours he got at night.
He didn't wake up halfway through or have any nightmares.
When he woke up, he felt like a new man.
"Thank me?" Joanna looked at him, puzzled. "What for?"
The traffic light turned red ahead.
Ashton Heath stopped the car, turned his head, and gazed at her deeply: "Thank you for sleeping with me. I slept comfortably in that hour."
"Cough cough cough." Joanna started coughing violently.
