Abel waited for some kind of laughter from the gathered people. He really felt like a complete airhead for not understanding the joke the doctor had shared.
He smiled just to try and pretend he got the joke, but he was surprised that even the rest of the medical staff didn't seem to find it funny.
Most still had that smile of relief they had worn since entering the ward.
