***ADDIE'S POV*** 

The chaos was over. And the only indication that anything at all had happened was the destruction left behind in three villages leading to the capital. No one had died. My system had worked. Everyone had evacuated in time and was safe in the capital before we had arrived. 

They had all watched us as well. From behind the gates Lilac, Gretchen, and everyone watched on the mirrors and crystals as the fighting broke out. None of the fighting had lasted a long time, but every citizen had been entirely enthralled by it all. None of that mattered to me. All that counted was that they were safe. And no one had been hurt.

The only people hurt were the soldiers from Laumont who fought back when they were being captured. The only one who died, was Elapidae. We had made it here in time. Everything had worked out just fine. And I was thankful for that.
