章 268: Back To The Palace

**ADDIE'S POV**

The arrangements at the gate were made quickly and before I knew it, we were being escorted into the city. Only now, instead of having Boberre behind us, following us into the city, he was sandwiched in between the two guards in front of us as we were being guided toward the palace.

"You can't do this to me. I didn't do anything wrong. I only spoke the truth. That girl is not what he says that she is. She is-."

"She is sister to the king, niece to a noble, and my lover. And if you say one more word against her, then you will find that it is your last."

"NOLAN!?" I snapped at him in embarrassment and anger. He just told everyone that we were together as well as threatened to kill someone. That was not good.

"I only meant that I would rip out his tongue, sweetheart. I never meant that I would kill him." He smiled at me and looked as if nothing was wrong. "I promised you that I would do my best not to kill him, and I meant it."
