[Haruka's POV]
"Well... Let the killing begin..." - I said and then headed towards the zombie village.
And even though I said that, I actually did the opposite and walked to the right side of the entrance.
It would be stupid of me to enter a zombie village and start a killing spree, I'm not Leon from Resident Evil nor do I have a super weapon nor am I a protagonist, who knows how many zombies the village has.
The village doesn't look that big from here, but it's better to be careful since loud noises can attract zombies.
So the best plan is to go house to house first and kill every zombie inside, then I take care of the zombies outside.
It's totally different from my thinking before entering the dungeon, but let's be realistic, starting a killing spree in the middle of the village would attract even more zombies, it would be just as dangerous or even more dangerous than killing zombies in a closed area.
'This house is fine.' - I thought as I looked at the house, it was an old house made of wood.
'I'm not going to lie, I do feel a bit like Leon F. Kennedy, but a lion without training, experience and above all weapons.' - I thought as I tried to calm myself down by thinking of things that make me laugh.
But I'm not going to lie, it would have been spectacular to have entered the dungeon with weapons and started a massacre with shots and explosions.
'Although that would have been great, it can also get very difficult in a short time.' - I shook my head at the thought, the noise of the weapons would have quickly attracted the zombies.
And well, while I was thinking I was able to sneak into the house, it wasn't that difficult, I just had to go in through a window.
It was the window that looked out onto the kitchen, I didn't go through any door because they are made of wood and have the probability of making noise while I open them.
"So let's see who lives here..." - I muttered as I walked through the house carefully, although unfortunately the floor didn't help me much as some wood made noise when I stepped on it.
"Tsk" - I clicked my tongue at that, of course in a low voice. But I tried to ignore it while continuing to avoid making too much noise.
So I put away my sword and took out the kitchen knife I had bought and sharpened earlier in the week. This was part of about 7 knives I bought especially to enter the dungeon.
Of course, the week I spent wasn't just having sex and training, I also made preparations in case I entered the dungeon.
'Ok, first floor cleared, now it's time for the second floor... Zombie here I come...' - I thought as I looked up the stairs.
In this time that I was checking the first floor, I could hear footsteps and grunts from a zombie on the second floor.
So the first house has a zombie, although I can also be wrong so I'm careful.
'I wonder how many zombies the town has...' - I thought after going up the stairs and finding that I have 3 doors to choose from.
'Well, I'll check these two first since the door on the left is the one with the prize...' - I thought and then I headed to the last door on the right.
Anyway, not to bore you, the two doors had nothing relevant inside, one was a room and the other a small storage room.
The latter had nothing lootable and the room was empty with only a bed and a table.
'Well, now there's only the last room left...' - I thought and then I headed towards the room.
When I got to the front of the door I realized that it was locked from the inside.
"Well, this time we're going with a more direct approach..." - I muttered and activated the "eyes of the beast" to improve my reactions, so after doing so I then hit hard near where the lock is supposed to be.
And as I thought even though the door was closed under my attack the lock gave way and the door opened making an annoying sound, but not that loud, fortunately.
Then when the door opened what I could see was the zombie that was inside.
It was a zombie that was something different from the one I had seen before, that zombie looked like the zombies in the movies, its flesh was decomposing and it was very disgusting, but this one.
This zombie, was like a newly converted zombie, its skin was somewhat pale, its eyes somewhat gray and lacking life in them. The clothes were stained with blood, it was not its own since it did not have too large wounds, apart from a piece of flesh that was missing from its arm.
"You were a fighter, huh?" - I said when I saw him, I also saw that he was wearing gloves on his hands with blood already dried on them.
The zombie had already noticed my presence and it didn't take long for him to head towards me with surprisingly agile movements, but still slow for me with the beast's eyes. I also noticed that he seemed to look at me a bit before attacking me, but I ignored that for now since the zombie was close.
When the zombie was in my range, I moved to the side before he could jump and grab me and stabbed my kitchen knife into his head.
Then again like the other one, the zombie seemed to have his strings cut and crashed into the wall in front while having my knife stuck in his head.
[Mission: Kill a zombie.
Reward: 20 system points for killing a zombie (Rank F)]
'Nice...' - I thought after completing the mission and then I went to grab my knife. I also noticed that I got another 20 system points for the other mission and now I only need 8 more zombies to get the stat point.
So I pulled the knife out of the zombie's head and it was covered in blood and zombie remains.
'I never liked blood, much less if it comes from a zombie...' - I thought, I cleaned the knife a little with the zombie's clothes and after doing so I went into the room.
"Well, let's see what's here..." - I said as my gaze scanned the room.
At first I noticed that there was a book on the table and on the floor there were some bottles with what looked like water. Ignoring the bottles I went to grab the book.
"If you're reading this it means I became one of them." - I said and after opening the book and reading a little I commented. - "It looks more and more like Resident Evil."
"Well, let's see what it says..." - I said and sat on the bed to read the book.
<< I don't have much time, so I can't write much, but I will say that I am or was an adventurer, the martial artist of the team. Me and my team consisting of [name] the tank and the leader, [Name] the lightning mage and [name] our swordsman. We were sent on a mission in this remote town.
The mission was to find a rare plant that grows in this area, but after arriving and finding the plant, we also found a dungeon.
We were all surprised, according to the rules when finding a dungeon you first have to notify the guild so that the guild can send someone to find out the rank of the dungeon, but my companions decided to enter guided by greed despite my opposition.
In the end I had to follow them, that was my mistake, the dungeon is an undead dungeon of rank F+, possible rank E-. When we entered we couldn't even go down to the next floor because it was difficult for us to take care of a small group of them.
A team with three F rank and one F+ rank, at first we managed to control the situation since the undead were only F+ rank, but at some point we found ourselves surrounded by dozens of undead.
Then the inevitable happened, despite managing to kill them all with great difficulty we were bitten.
We were carrying blessed water that reduces the effect of the undead bite, but does not eliminate it, so without thinking much we quickly returned to the town to look for the other reverse blessed bottles we had.
We realized that some undead came out of the dungeon and were following us, but we couldn't have cared less, we just wanted to get to the other bottles of blessed water.
As we reached the village, my companions fell, at that moment I didn't remember it, but it is assumed that the stronger you are, the faster the effect of the blessed water ends since it is low level.
I didn't stop at that moment but kept running, unfortunately after arriving and finding the blessed water, I couldn't get out, because the whole village was in chaos, the undead were attacking the villagers and my leader had arrived at the house.
I locked myself in this room while I listened to my leader scream in agony as he transformed into an undead, since the transformation of someone strong is never calm like that of someone weak.
So with my undead leader nearby, the village under undead attack, and me tired and weakened from the bite, I could only sit and wait to transform.
While I was waiting I decided to write this book with the intention of warning anyone who reads it, be careful with my equipment, because in case you don't know, the undead are smarter the stronger they are. I most likely won't be since I only recently reached F rank, but my team certainly will be. Not at the level of a normal person, but there will be a lot of difference between a normal undead and one a little more intelligent.
But above all, do not enter the dungeon if you are not at least at the level of an E rank adventurer or are on a team categorized as E+.
And if you're not like us, you better let the guild know since an undead dungeon is never good to keep active for too long >>
"Mmmm... Adventurer's greed, huh?..." - That's what I said after finishing reading what was written in the book. Also after finishing reading the book I received a quest, but I left it for later because I have a question for the system first.
"So I'm not in a dungeon dimension, but in another world, huh, system?" - I asked the system.
[Yes, the host is currently in another world]
"Mmmm... so, is there a time difference?" - I asked again. Because if there is, it would be good to know if I have to return earlier or later than planned.
[Yes, in this world 3 hours is equal to 1 hour in your world, host]
"Mmm that's good to know..." - I nodded, I took it well since this is not the first time it happens to me, after all I transmigrated from one world to another.
So without giving it more importance I opened the screen where the missions were.
[Mission: kill the zombie adventurer team.
Reward: 100 system points and something random for the zombie killed. (1/4)
Punishment: none. [But you might get some good things if you manage to kill them.]
[Do you want to receive the first part of the reward? Or do you want to save it until you complete it?]
"Of course, give me the reward now." - I said.
[You have received 100 system points and "intermediate level martial arts knowledge." Prepare for a slight dizziness]
And then as the system said, I felt like the world was spinning as I received the knowledge from what seemed like years of martial arts training.
"That was horrible, I felt like I was going to throw up..." - I said still feeling dizzy despite having finished receiving the memories, but not so much that I would throw up.
After calming down a bit I prepared to review what the knowledge brings.
[Technique]
[Martial Arts: Intermediate]: Increases strength, durability, and speed by 15% when fighting in hand-to-hand combat.
"Knowledge is good and all, but I still have to train it to be able to use it to its full potential." - I thought out loud, my movements would be clumsy because my body is not adapted to the movements, I would be like Arthur from the novel "The Beginning after the end".
"Well, getting closer to 1,000 system points for another 10 Gacha rolls... Although I also have to buy the system option to equip armor without wearing it." - I said, but after thinking about it, I decided to leave this last one for later since I don't have any buff items to wear anyway.
"Well, I think I've rested enough, it's time to continue..." - I said as I looked out the window of the room noticing the zombies walking through the streets of the town.
——————————————
I thought the story would give more depth to the reason for choosing to have him be in the town instead of the dungeon.
And yes, I am giving the possibility that in the future he will go to another world as an adventure instead of just going through a dungeon.
But in the future for now I'm just beginning to shape the main world enough for me to send it to another world.
Overall, I hope you liked today's episode.
