章 17: Dark Secret from the Past

Today Celestia and her brothers are back home, since it's almost the Festival they got a week leave off school to celebrate with their family and friends. Even though she is back at home, Celestia has been busy sending out the new clothes to the orphanage and churches. All her family members hasn't had a chance to see her only during dinner.

"Sweetheart why don't you rest and let the butler send out the clothes to the orphanage."

Marchioness looks at her youngest worriedly, she was scared in case Celestia collapse since she hasn't been getting enough rest ever since she came back home.

"It's ok Mama, today was the last batch of things I had to send out the rest I got Alvin to send it out on my behalf. Ever since Alvin came back from his long trip he has taken up most of the work."

Before Celestia entered the Academy she knew she will have little time to focus on her business so she went to find her long term friend Alvin. Where did she meet him it was during a time when she was very young she went to the orphanage to play for one day.

She met him and befriended him as she saw he is very business like minded person who will be the best person to be her assistant. from their she sponsored him to study, get him to understand the route of merchants and get him to travel to experience the different cultures and places.

Celestia made many friends for the last 10 years, however not many people know they are her exclusive people as they all hide in the shadows as her ears and eyes. Everyone only knows that Lucy is her exclusive maid.

"Lucy is Rhett here yet?"

Lucy places Celestia tea on her desk before she answers her however the door of the study swings open revealing a handsome man in a brown hood cape wearing a mask revealing his deep forest green eyes. Celestia didn't need to look up to know who came in only one person will rudely open her doors without knocking.

"Sir Rhett, how many times do I need to tell you to knock on Masters door."

Lucy places her hand on her hips as she looks annoyed at the young man. Ever since Celestia personally ask Lucy to be her exclusive maid and not be part of the Marquess Estate people Lucy has change the way she has address Celestia.

Rhett pulls down his mask revealing his beautiful Features, sharp jawline, thin lips and his straight nose. He looks at Lucy however he ignores her as he walks up Celestia and bows on one knee.

"Rhett has return, Master during my stay in the east I have found something that you might find useful. This is related to what happen 8 years ago, with the Duchess of Whisteria."

Celestia hand shook, she places her pen on the table as she waits for Rhett to explain, what he found. Rhett got up as he places a few papers on the table and a moonstone on the table.

"This is the recording I got from a worker that works in a Traven in the east. It is said that the person that hired the assassin was a maid that works in a noble household. I followed what the worker said and found the the Maid used to work in Baron Dawson estate, however she isn't from the main estate but from a side estate. I try to look for the maid but it is said that she no longer works there anymore, no one knows where she went and I couldn't find any traces of her."

Lucy gasp as she worriedly looks at her Master, Celestia stays quiet as she found it funny that the assassin is related to the heroine family. Ever since that strange behaviour of the heroine she got Rhett to investigate her but she didn't expect she'll discovery something even her father or the Duke couldn't find 8 years ago. Celestia stood up from her seat and looks outside her window starring at the garden.

"Thank you Rhett, you two may go rest I want to be alone."

"Yes master."

Rhett and Lucy left the study leaving Celestia alone in the study. Celestia closes her eyes as she took a deep breath. She took out a book from the bottom of her draw flipping pages by pages. She kept a record of the game and book storyline of each of the capture targets routes however whatever happen to Cepheus mother has not been revealed even to the end of the game. Celestia hand stops as she took a step back.

"No that isn't true, the day before I died they said that there was a new game release about Celestia storyline, it also reveals the secret of the killers of Cepheus mother. Don't tell me the heroine played the game before she came to this world."

Celestia panic a little as she quickly puts the book back into her draw as she sat back down on the chair drinking her tea calming herself down.

"It's ok, Celestia just plan ahead and prepare everything in advance, collect all the evidence and hidden cards. I told myself that I'll live for myself and I will do so, who cares if your a heroine, this time I'll be the heroine of my own story."

The next few days she got her people to look for any clue regarding about the missing maid, anything about the Duchess her past and anything related to the Dawson family from old to young and the heroine, making sure not to miss any details. However all the information she got back they all aren't related to each other she also got some information about the Duke but nothing came up through him too.

"Master didn't you say you parted with the Duchess that day at the intersection, what if the target was you or the young masters but the assassin mistaken the carriage that day."

Celestia thought for a moment.

"Rhett perhaps you're right go and find out if the target was any of my brothers. Find out if father or anyone in the Septihanus had an enemy from the Dawson family."

"Yes Master."

Celestia has been more busy these days due to what she has discovery a few days ago, she didn't dare tell anyone not even Cepheus as she was afraid of what he will do.

That night Celestia sat in her hammock in her room as she watches the full moon in the summer night. Citrine lay on her lap as Celestia pats his fur.

"Citrine, I'm scared. What if the reason why the Duchess got killed in the game was because of me."

Celestia told no one about her past life except for her spiritual beast who has been linked with her through space and time. Ever since they have sign the contract Citrine knew she isn't really from this world, all her memories from thousand years ago, from the 21st century and this world are all in link to him since the contract was signed.

Citrine stays quiet as he listens to Celestia speak about her worries, slowly her eyes drop bit by bit till she fell asleep in her hammock. Citrine jumps out of her arms and transform into a human. He looks up towards the full moon than back at his master. Celestia looks beautiful sleeping with the moonlight reflecting her.

"Even if the world go against you I'll always be by your side Master."

Citrine leans in as he places a kiss at the back of her hand. He stood up as he princess carries her and walks to her bed, placing her on the bed.
