The sun shined brightly down on me from above blasting me with the blazing heat rays. It was a stark reminder that summer was on its way and yet even the heat couldn't shake me out of my muffled thoughts. My mind twisting around while I occasionally sipped at the cold iced tea that was placed in front of me.
A beautiful garden surrounded me and the outdoor table I was sitting at. The flowers bloomed into majestic colors while the thick bushes blocked off the area for privacy, It was truly an amazing place to just sit and do nothing but relax.
"I really love the summer" Of course it was hard for me as a voice rang out across the table.
I glanced up to see Aria smiling brightly as she cupped her hands together in a swooning motion. She didn't even wait for my response before she picked another topic and started to ramble, I ac found it impressive that the young princess never seemed to run out of things to say.
Aria was wearing a pink dress made out of breathable fabric to beat the heat that added to her adorable charm. The cut was slightly lower than normal which showed off a hint of her creamy bosom, Although the dress failed to hide the huge bags that strained against the helpless fabric.
"So you do you like it?" Aria spoke again only this time she waited for me to speak as she stared at my hand.
"Of course" I smiled as I took another sip of the cold iced tea that she had so graciously prepared for me.
"You're very good at making tea wife" I called her by the title she loved and watched as her face and eyes lit up.
"T~thank you!" Aria blushed and waved her hand as if it was no big deal but my thoughts were raving as I stared at her
'…What do I do?' I contemplated as Aria started to talk about how she forced the castle chef to teach her to cook.
'I can't just let that bastard…' I grit my teeth remembering the request that had plagued me for the past day.
I had been on edge ever since Leon had spoken Aria's name and I didn't know what I should do. There was no way I could give the adorable princess and my future finance to that bastard. I couldn't allow her to be defiled by him just like Ella and the others had been, And yet I knew that I had no choice being bound by the oath I had taken.
'I can't injure myself….' If I broke the contract then the continent would be left defenseless against the demons.
I had no idea how long it would take me to heal and during that time there were countless things that could happen, After all it wasn't only the demon king I was weary of. There were many who would use anything at their disposal to become rich and powerful and I had no doubt there were those who would try to use me to do the same.
'….' And so that meant I had to sacrifice the young princess in front of me who held a special place on my heart.
"He only taught me after I threatened to fire him" Aria finished her story speaking in an almost naturally bratty tone that didn't bother me anymore.
'It's kinda cute' I thought as I steeled my heart and took another sip of the surprisingly delicious tea.
"Wife" I interrupted her before she could start on another topic that would last for a few minutes at minimum.
"Yes?" Aria smiled in response cupping her hands together seemingly happy that I took the effort to speak out to her.
"….You know Leon right?" I naturally hesitated not wanting to go through with it but soon the words left my mouth.
"Hm?" Aria titled her head as if confused for a second and her eyes moved around as if trying to remember.
"Oh! That filthy looking commoner?" She spoke with a disgust that was second to none as I nodded in response.
"Do you know why he joined the party when he's not that strong?" I decided the first order of business was to inform her of Leon's skill and its ability.
"No" Aria puffed her cheeks out cluelessly as she stared at me with those bright green eye's for an answer.
"Leon has a skill that allows those who are intimate with him to advance in strength" I kept my voice steady and I watched as her eyes slowly grew wide.
"Intimate? You mean…." Aria seemed completely shocked but she seemed to understand what I was implying.
"Yes" I nodded but before she could process what I said I gave her another shocking piece of information.
"All the woman in the party have used this skill" I spoke trying to hide the bitterness in my tone while watching her reaction.
"W~what!" Aria screeched in shock as if she couldn't believe what I was saying.
"T~the white knight and the princess?" She asked me after a couple of seconds and I nodded silently.
"The duchess has?!" Aria's eyes went wide as she realized that Alexia had partaken in something so obscene.
"Yes multiple times" I answered honestly as the young princess's eyes seemed to be glued open in shock.
"But she's supposed to be…." She muttered underneath her breath before finally looking at me with confusion.
"A~and your…okay with that?" Aria asked with disbelief and I felt my heart twisting at her words.
"It's for the greater good" I kept my emotions hidden and spoke the words that seemed to have lost their meaning.
"I~I see…" Aria sat back in her chair trying to process everything she had just been told.
