The manor which often felt overly large and suffocating, now seemed like a labyrinth designed to keep me from reaching them. It took what felt like an eternity to climb the winding staircase and navigate the endless halls to the top floor. it took me a few minutes to even reach the top floor and took me longer to finally approach Leon's room. It was on the opposite end of the hall farther away from mine and I felt relief as I saw the door.
'Damn it' I could only curse as I got closer and saw the door fully shut.
'…' I reached up and grabbed the knob gentle trying to turn it before letting out a sigh of frustration realizing it was locked.
I had for some reason grown used to people leaving doors cracked yet now when I really wanted it somehow it wasn't. I stared ahead knowing that my mother was behind the door with that bastard, I didn't know what to do and thought about bursting in when I had a sudden thought.
'The balcony…' I didn't hesitate and quickly walked over to the room that was just next door and grabbed the knob.
Luckily the door opened without resistance showing another guest room wasn't occupied. I didn't look to long at the surroundings as I made my way to the frosted glass door that led to the balcony, The cool crisp air hit me as I stepped outside while the wind brushed strands of hair from my face.
The balcony with its elegant table and flower pots was a mirror of the one I knew was just a short distance away, Leon's balcony. Without wasting a second I jumped onto the edge of the railing, my body nimble and balanced. I pushed off in one fluid motion bridging the gap between the two balconies with ease. My feet touched down silently on the other side, not even the faintest sound betraying my arrival.
'….' I felt weird sneaking around but I knew I didn't have a choice as my gaze went to the entrance to Leon's room.
'Come on' I stepped down quietly and obscured my presence with mana as I grabbed the knob and turned it.
"Ha…" I let out a sigh of relief as the handle turned without resistance and the door slowly cracked open.
"Your to kind Leon" What greeted me was the sound of my mother giggling making me frown.
I opened the door just wide enough to peer inside through a small gap. The large opulent room came into view much like the other guest quarters but my eyes immediately darted toward the bed. Relief washed over me when I saw it was empty as the worst of my fears momentarily dispelled.
I followed the sound of my mother's sweet and soft giggling and finally saw her just to the side seating down on one of the leather couches. She was still wearing nothing but those three stickers with her mature body on full display, My mother's thick thighs were squeezed together as she sat with her legs crossed on one another. She had a gentle smile on her face and was waving her hand causing her large chest to sway from side to side.
"I'm just speaking the truth Isabella" A deep voice drew my attention as I looked just to her side where Leon was smiling.
"It seems you invited me just to flatter me" My mother rolled her eyes but it was obvious she had licked whatever that bastard had said.
'Just tea' I felt more relief seeing the glasses in front of them and the slight distance as they sat.
'….' Yet I was still bothered by Leon's gaze that he threw at my mother's body whenever she wasn't paying attention.
"So how are you liking the hero's party so far?" My mother didn't seem to notice as she grabbed her tea and took a sip.
"It's definitely been a fun experience" Leon smirked and his words seemed as if he wasn't talking about the actual missions we had gone on.
"Well I'll glad my son has made a trustworthy friend" My mother put down her glass down and let out a small and soft sigh making me furrow my eyebrows.
'Friend….' Such a word was the last thing I would ever use to describe leon with the first ones being more explicit.
"Yes I'm glad to have found such a great friend as well!" Leon laughed slightly with a tone full of amusement making my mother smile deeper not seeing his hidden motives.
"But it truly is shocking" He sighed while shaking his head and giving my mother a charming smile.
"I never expected Xavier's mother to be such an incredibly beautiful woman" Hearing my name come off that bastards tongue felt just as bad as hearing him complement my mother.
"Oh stop it" My mother waved her hand once more but her tone was weak as if she didn't truly want him to stop.
