The fight against the unknown creature I dubbed 'Barrier Eater' was not going well. It was fast, strong, and durable. And it quickly became apparent that its monstrous strength could do more than tear through Barrier Magic.

I had been holding back until now to try and gauge the beast's capabilities, but it was becoming clear that we would never gain any real ground in this fight if I continued to do so.

For one, a creature capable of tearing through barriers like this could have disastrous effects on Oto, especially if they were to attack in large numbers.

The fact that Tera, someone who spends more time roaming around the country, didn't have any idea what this thing was leads me to believe that it was something new. Any information I could take away from this battle would surely be invaluable.
