"You wanted to speak with me, Alli? I'm quite busy at the moment, so make it quick," Lana said. She was in her temporary office again, overseeing the reconstruction and recovery efforts. It was a process that seemed to be never-ending, and she did not have much time to spare.
Alli got down on one knee and bowed her head solemnly. "My Lady, I ask that you dismiss me from the elite squad and fill in the ranks with either Gabi or Rani as the head." Alli was feeling incredibly guilty over the death of Sasha. She never wanted to be the leader, but as the strongest, the duty naturally fell on her shoulders.
Alli was an incredibly serious person, so she tried her best despite the circumstances, but her best just wasn't good enough. Her failure had gotten her sister killed, and it was something that was going to weigh on her mind for the rest of her life. She just was not cut out to be a leader.
Thank you for all the support this week. I have only uploaded a few chapters this week, but you guys have been going crazy with the power stones. 44 may not seem like a lot, but it is for me.
I suffer from depression and have been feeling kind out of it this past week, but seeing the support my crappy novel has been getting really cheers me up. So thank you.
