The sound of her hands clapping briefly broke the silence, marking the end of the training session.

Her eyes scanned the area where the fireball had hit, noting the subtle shift in its trajectory. It wasn't perfect, but it was good enough.

What mattered most was that he had figured out a new technique by himself, and from here on out, he would be more confident in experimenting.

That was the most important thing about magic, after all—experimenting until one found the best combination that worked for them.

In addition, what he did might have looked simple, but it wasn't.

To make that attack work, he had to lower the power of the second fireball just enough, or the first one would've exploded mid-air. It was a small adjustment, but showed that his control was getting better. 

Asher exhaled deeply, feeling the exhaustion from his training. He had given it his all and now needed time for his demon heart to recover.
