章 35: Chapter 35: This is Awkward

“Today is going to be awkward. Everyone knows who I am now. They know about the money” Dylan said.

“They will stare and they will mock me. They will share stories about me. Everything I did not want to happen is about to happen” Dylan continued.

Zoe knew he was right, and there wasn’t much she could do about it. This was a period of transition for Dylan but she was going to make sure it didn’t last long. She had plans in place to ensure he could restore his position of CEO soon. He would be able to alleviate his guilt and have his company. She would make sure of it.

As she looked over to Dylan, she saw tension displayed all over his face. That is why Zoe convinced him to allow her to drive them to work this morning. She knew that Dylan’s mind would be focused on his first day back to work and she wanted to give him a few moments' peace before entering the office.
