“Zoe! Let’s head over to the airport. I was able to get you off work a bit earlier than 5:00 pm, so we could get a head start on the weekend” Dylan said approaching the front desk.

Margaret looked over at her and rolled her eyes.

Ever since Margaret told her that Dylan tended to date women at work, she felt uneasy. It was as if she had been betrayed all over again, but this time, by Dylan and not Kyle. She had no idea how to bring this up to him without getting Margaret in trouble.

She wasn’t sure she could sit back and say nothing, especially when Dylan had made it his life’s mission to romance her.

What on earth was she going to do about this?

“Zoe, is everything alright? You seem deep in thought” Dylan said, staring into her eyes.

That was because she was deep in thought. Even though they hadn’t spent much time together, it was like he knew her inside and out. She couldn’t hide disappointment, hurt, or anger from him. Dylan would know.
