"You're awake."

Fang Yuan glanced at Li Dahe, who was just beginning to stir. Despite his disheveled state, Fang Yuan knew this was the person he had been searching for.

"Who are you?" Li Dahe wiped his tears and looked at Fang Yuan, unfamiliar with both him and his surroundings. Glancing around, Li Dahe realized they were in a dilapidated temple, with tall trees visible beyond the broken gate.

"I'm the one who saved you," Fang Yuan replied with a faint smile. "You lost a lot of blood. If I hadn't intervened, you would have bled out by now."

Hearing this, Li Dahe instinctively touched his head and felt the bandages wrapped around it, used to stop the bleeding.

"Thank you, benefactor," Li Dahe said, kneeling and knocking his head on the ground in gratitude.

"It was nothing," Fang Yuan waved dismissively. "Now, tell me what happened to you."

Li Dahe's face twisted in sorrow as he recalled his sister, and tears began to fall again. "My sister was taken by the Black Tiger Gang."
