章 12: Grounded
I fell on my knees praying to whatever god ruled over me to please make the pain stop, instead of relief, the basic class demon core I had absorbed came out of my body, broke down into little specks of light and entered my body again.
I was expecting a smooth absorption but my bones cracked, broke and healed in a repeated cycle, then followed my skin which tore and healed repeatedly, this mind ravaging pain went on for what felt like hours but in reality only five minutes and eventually the pain stopped, followed by a notification.

That was all I managed to read before passing out from exhaustion.

On the other side of the world, where the divine class demons had previously gathered sat Mammon alone to his thoughts,"The hell!, the divine supreme class demon I had sensed earlier has been replaced with a basic class demon, what happened to that stupid bat I sent to spy on him. I swear, give an intermediate class demon intelligence and they betray you in an instant." Mammon said while making his next plan."Since there is no way around it, I am going to pay it a visit." Mammon said while he opened a portal.

I woke up feeling like I was hit by a bus, I turned around only to see I was in a hospital, I saw Mr. Richard looking sternly at me, "You could have gotten yourself killed, thank the heavens that there were no demons nearby. Listen to me young man, you are hereby grounded!" Mr. Richard practically yelled the last part. "I don't want to hear any excuse, I would have given you a worse punishment if you weren't to weak to move" he shouted at me as I tried to utter an excuse, he kept on shouting which lost its interest quickly, I decided to use Demon Gaze to kill time, I activated it and was shocked with what I saw, everything was so much clearer, I noticed that the blue flame wasn't a flame but a small glass like ball which emitted a blue aura, I looked at myself only to see a purple flame, I was stupefied but even more so when I saw energy gathering outside opening a portal and a demon walked through it, I was scared, not because of the demon but because of its pure black core.
