章 53: Interception

Running a long-distance as a vampire was closer to being inside a dream than reality.

In the deafening silence of the forest, I was one with these images of light trail photography, racing the illumination of living creatures, they were flying past me but to them, I must've been invisible. The air was damp against my wide-open eyes, and when I glanced down at my feet, it looked like I was walking in slow motion over a treadmill that was set on the highest incline.

The exhilaration I felt riding Raven was never going to be the same again. This monstrous freedom couldn't be obtained by anything man-made.

Once I concentrated enough, I was able to detect the blue dot on my sonar, and it helped guide my way through the routes that I had never taken before, last I went to the forsaken place I did it as a human after all.

My destination was the monster's den.

I was halfway to Arthur's coven when an unexpected intruder intercepted my way.
