Coming back to the present where Sebastian and his father were inside the Winter's residence his father continued, "I do believe we had an agreement, isn't that right Robert?"
Robert, who was holding his wife's hand, took a subconscious step backwards. "Yes 'Your Grace' you are correct. We did." His voice tried to hide the fear he felt, but to no avail.
"I believe myself to be a rather patient man Robert, but my patience is running thin with you." His 'Grace' said firmly as he casually strode around the room, looking at nothing in particular.
"My sincerest apolog-" Robert tried to plead with the man before he got cut off.
"Your apologies won't pay me back no matter how sincere they are" he deadpanned. "How long must we play the game of cat and mouse, do enlighten me if you would be so kind Robert, and my dear Mary?"
At the mention of her name, Mia's mother sucked in a breath that felt painful to do so. She started to open her mouth to say something, but no words left her mouth as she was too stunned and nervous.
"What's the matter dear? Cat got your tongue?" His 'Grace' stated as the side of his lip started to curl up into a playful smirk.
The three of them had found themselves standing in the hallway of the home with the two other men standing just right outside guarding the entrance and to prevent anyone from escaping.
Mia was still hiding in the hallway closet listening to their conversation, and watching the scene before her unfold.
No one had yet to discover that she was there, in the room with them.
She didn't know who these men were, or who the boy was, who had a blank expression on his face like he had no interest in whatever was transpiring between the adults in the room.
She noted that he seemed older than her by a few years at least since he was a bit taller than her.
His dark hair and messy bangs that hung slightly in front of his eyes. She thought it was an odd color, as she had never seen anybody with red eyes before.
