章 136: "The Nightmare Never Ends: Shadow's Asgard and the Sacrifice of a Friend"

Gecko Moria stood atop the fallen giant Oars, a twisted grin stretching across his face as he surveyed the battlefield. Knowing defeat was close, he raised his arms, calling upon his ultimate technique: Shadow's Asgard. A dark energy surrounded him, reaching out like skeletal fingers to absorb the shadows of his defeated zombies. In an instant, shadows from across the ruined Thriller Bark, including those of Cindry, Inuppe, and even the monstrous Oars, converged upon Moria, sinking into his grotesque form.

The Straw Hats watched in horror as Moria's body began to morph, stretching unnaturally as his figure swelled and warped, taking on an even more monstrous appearance.

Moria's transformation was terrifying; he was now an enormous, deformed version of himself, with jagged claws, massive limbs, and an elongated, lizard-like torso that resembled a gecko. His newfound strength radiated from him in destructive waves, causing the ground to tremble. With a roar, he swung his massive arms, scattering debris and rubble across the battlefield.

Luffy clenched his fists, determination burning in his eyes as he prepared to confront the monstrous foe that Moria had become.

As the first rays of dawn began to pierce the sky, the Straw Hats felt a familiar surge within them—their shadows were returning, and with them, the danger of burning in the sunlight. Panic spread among the crew; they had mere moments before the sunlight would scorch them.

Luffy's resolve only hardened. He activated Sun Gear 2, his skin flushing with the heat of his intensified speed and power, ready to launch a counterattack against Moria's transformed state.

Luffy charged forward, using his enhanced speed to unleash a barrage of blows on Moria. However, Moria countered by trapping him within a black shadow box. Before Luffy could react, Raja arrived, his Wand weaving through the air as he used a powerful Spell Magic-Magic 10X Gravity Pull. The intense gravitational force surrounded Moria, immobilizing him and giving Luffy the chance to break free.

With his target frozen in place, Luffy summoned all the strength of Sun Gear 2 and channeled it into a powerful attack. "Gomu Gomu no Sun Cannon!" he roared, launching a fiery punch that crashed into Moria's monstrous form with explosive force. Moria's body quivered, unable to withstand the impact, and he was sent sprawling backward, the absorbed shadows violently escaping from his body in a chaotic release.

As the shadows returned to their rightful owners, the Straw Hats collapsed, saved from the rising sun just in time. Relief washed over the crew as the Rolling Pirates and the Straw Hats erupted into cheers of victory. They had faced unimaginable odds, but they had emerged victorious.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hogback and Absalom, seeing Moria's defeat, began to slink away, planning their own escape from Thriller Bark before further chaos ensued.

Across the world, people rejoiced as their stolen shadows were restored. In villages and cities alike, celebrations broke out, echoing with laughter and gratitude. The Straw Hats had not only saved themselves but countless others as well.

But the celebration was short-lived. A heavy silence fell over Thriller Bark as a new, ominous presence made itself known. Bartholomew Kuma, a towering figure draped in a coat bearing the World Government's insignia, stepped onto the battlefield. His expression was unreadable, his intent unmistakable.

The Straw Hats turned, their elation fading as they saw Kuma standing before them, the weight of his presence bearing down like a storm. Kuma had come under orders from the World Government: his mission was to revive Moria and eliminate all witnesses to his defeat.

Kuma wasted no time. His Nikyu Nikyu no Mi powers allowed him to strike with blinding speed, effortlessly dodging Zoro's swift slashes and taking Franky down with a single, crushing blow. The Straw Hats attempted to rally, but Kuma's agility and raw strength left them reeling.

Kuma addressed the Straw Hats with chilling calmness, offering them a single choice: surrender Luffy, and the rest of them would be spared. His voice was a cold monotone, and his eyes glinted with a deadly seriousness.

Without hesitation, the crew shouted their defiance. "NEVER!" their voices rang out as one, each one steeled in their loyalty to Luffy.

Unmoved, Kuma raised his hand, creating a small yet dense orb of compressed air. He released it with terrifying precision—a shockwave that detonated upon impact, tearing through the remains of Thriller Bark and leaving a crater in its wake.

The blast knocked out nearly everyone, their bodies strewn across the battlefield, unconscious. Only Zoro, Sanji, and Raja remained standing, their expressions hardened with resolve.

Desperate to save his captain, Zoro lunged at Kuma, unleashing his fiercest attacks. But with each strike, Kuma's Pacifista modifications absorbed the blows, leaving Zoro vulnerable. In a final act of selflessness, Zoro offered his life in exchange for Luffy's, his voice steady despite the pain he endured. Sanji, unwilling to let Zoro sacrifice himself alone, stepped forward as well, only for Zoro to knock him unconscious, preserving Sanji's safety.

Raja, sensing the weight of the situation, quickly used Magic-Magic Sleep to gently lay both Zoro and Sanji to rest, sparing them from further harm.

With Zoro and Sanji unconscious, Raja turned to face Kuma alone. Summoning a mighty wind blast, he sent Kuma hurtling across the ruins, crashing into a nearby mansion. Raja followed close behind, disappearing into the mansion's dark interior.

Inside, the mansion shook violently, as if a fierce battle were raging within. But behind closed doors, Thunder bird wrecking havoc inside the Mansion. Raja's shadowy figure sat upon a throne, his powerful Shadow Persona revealing his hidden identity. Kuma knelt before him, the once-feared tyrant now a humble servant.

"Is the Revolutionary Army moving according to plan, Kuma?" the Shadow asked, his voice cold yet commanding.

Kuma nodded respectfully. "Yes, my liege. Everything proceeds as you commanded."

Shadow "Dragon Inform you about my Plan", Kuma "Yes My Liege.

With a flicker, the Shadow Persona dissolved, and Raja's familiar form stood once more. "Hit me with everything you've got, Kuma. Make it convincing," he ordered. Kuma obeyed, delivering a punch that sent Raja flying back outside, ragged and bruised.

Raja staggered to his feet, his breathing labored but his gaze steady. "I'll make you an offer," he gasped. "Use your power to absorb all my crew's pain and put it in me. Whether I survive or die, that's up to fate—but you'll spare them."

Kuma considered the request before nodding. Without hesitation, he extended his palms, using his Nikyu Nikyu no Mi ability to transfer the collective pain of the crew into Raja's body. As the pain flooded into him, Raja's body convulsed, but he held his ground, his jaw set in determination.

When the Straw Hats began to stir, they found themselves miraculously unharmed, the memory of their agony a fading blur. Raja lay slumped on the ground, alive but barely conscious, his body battered and bruised.

Sanji looked at him, worry etched into his face. "Raja, what happened?"

Raja forced a weak smile. "Nothing happened," he muttered with a smirk, waving them off as he struggled to bandage his injuries, brushing off their concern as if it were a mere scratch.

The crew could only look at him in Shock and Confuse, Because no one Saw Raja getting Hurt in battle before Now he his bloodied and Bruised this extent and why there is no pain in there Body.

Chopper who woke up looked at Raja and Luffy started scream and run around for a doctor and crew shots at him "You're the Doctor" and he started give proper treatment

And so, as the sun rose over Thriller Bark, the nightmare had come to an end, but the memory of Raja's sacrifice would remain with the crew as they sailed forward together.

The day after the battle with Gecko Moria, the sun shone brightly over Thriller Bark. The Straw Hat Pirates, now fully recovered, were in high spirits, celebrating their hard-fought victory. Luffy, Usopp, Franky, and the others reveled in the feast spread out before them in the courtyard, their laughter and cheer echoing across the island. Yet, one of them remained silent.

Raja, the ever-resilient Magician, had yet to fully recover. His sacrifice to save Crew, when he took on the pain and injuries Moria had inflicted upon his Crew, weighed heavily on him. But for now, he remained in the background, content to rest. The Straw Hats carried on their celebration, unaware of the weight Raja carried for them all.

As the others enjoyed their victory, Zoro, ever the protector, made sure none of the witnesses to the battle spoke of Raja's sacrifice. It was a secret he was determined to keep from the outside world. Robin, who had overheard the conversation, stood quietly at the edge of the group, lost in thought.

Meanwhile, Brook, the skeleton swordsman who had recently joined their crew, had found a piano. He sat at the keys, his bony fingers dancing over the keys, filling the air with a haunting melody. The song was one that every pirate knew: "Binks' Sake."

Luffy's eyes widened. "I know that song! It's the same song I heard when I met Laboon at Reverse Mountain!" His voice carried the excitement of a long-forgotten memory.

Brook, hearing Luffy's words, paused, his eyes welling up with emotion. For the first time, the crew saw the depth of Brook's sorrow, the old wound that never truly healed.

"I see," Brook murmured softly. "Laboon… he's still waiting, isn't he?"

Luffy nodded. "Yeah, he's still there at Reverse Mountain. We should go visit him again sometime."

Brook couldn't hold back the tears that welled up inside him. "I'm sorry, Laboon… I kept you waiting all these years." The skeleton's voice trembled as he looked away, lost in the past.

Brook's mind drifted back more than fifty years, to the days when he sailed with the Rumbar Pirates. In the West Blue, the crew encountered a baby whale lost from its pod. They took pity on the creature and decided to cheer it up by singing a song. They named the whale Laboon, and as they sailed, they grew fond of him.

As the Rumbar Pirates approached the Grand Line, they knew the dangers it posed and decided it would be too risky for Laboon to accompany them. They left him at Twin Capes, hoping he would return to his pod. But to their surprise, when they descended from Reverse Mountain, Laboon was still there, waiting for them.

Brook smiled faintly at the memory. "He followed us all the way from Reverse Mountain. We couldn't just leave him behind, but we had to. The Grand Line was too dangerous."

Time passed, and three months later, the crew finally decided to part ways with Laboon, leaving him at Twin Capes and promising to return. Brook remembered how the crew spoke with such confidence about returning to Laboon soon, never suspecting how things would turn out.

But fate was cruel. Three years later, the Rumbar Pirates' captain, Yorki, and many of the crew fell ill from an incurable virus. Desperate to fulfill their promise, Yorki asked Brook to keep it for them.

"Brook… keep the promise. Take care of Laboon," Yorki had said, his voice weak.

With that, the crew attempted to escape the Calm Belt, but one by one, the crew members perished. Brook remained the sole survivor, but even in death, his resolve to keep the promise to Laboon never wavered.

Brook reached into his skull and retrieved a Tone Dial, a small, circular recording device. He held it close, his hands trembling as he pressed it to his ear. The final song of the Rumbar Pirates, the last song they performed before they died, echoed through the air.

The mournful melody played, and as the music filled the air, the Straw Hats and the Rolling Pirates joined in. Everyone—Luffy, Sanji, Robin, Franky, and even Zoro, who had quietly joined the group—sang along. They sang not just to honor Brook's fallen crew, but to honor the promise Brook had made to Laboon.

Brook's eyes glazed over as memories flooded him. He remembered how, as the Rumbar Pirates dwindled from a full band to a quartet, then a trio, a duet, and finally a solo, they had fought against poisoned weapons, and fought until they couldn't anymore. The last verse of the song had been sung by Brook alone, just before he, too, perished. The final note had echoed in the void of the Grand Line, and Brook had died remembering Laboon.

But despite it all, Brook's pride as a pirate remained unbroken. "I'll meet you again, Laboon," he whispered to the wind. "I promise."

In the present day, Brook wiped the tears from his eyes and stood tall. The music faded, and the crew fell silent, respecting the solemn moment. After a long pause, Brook made his decision.

"I'll join you, Luffy," Brook said with a smile. "I will fulfill the promise to Laboon… from the front."

He sealed the Tone Dial back inside his skull and stood with pride. He was no longer just a lone skeleton wandering the seas—he was a member of the Straw Hat Pirates.

At Reverse Mountain, Laboon let out a mighty roar, his massive form silhouetted against the sky. He was still waiting, just as Brook had promised. And now, Brook would keep that promise.

Two days later, the Straw Hats stood by the grave of the Rumbar Pirates, where Usopp and Franky had constructed a memorial. Zoro, now fully recovered, stood next to Brook at the grave of his fallen comrades. Zoro laid Yubashiri, his old sword, to rest beside the gravesite. A silent, respectful moment passed between them as Zoro formally acknowledged Brook as the crew's new musician.

Just before they departed, Lola handed Nami a piece of paper, half of a "Vivre Card." She explained that it was a special gift from her mother, a way to always find her no matter where they were in the New World. Nami accepted it with a thankful nod, knowing that it could be invaluable should they ever be in trouble.

As the Straw Hat Pirates prepared to set sail, Luffy noticed something strange. The small piece of paper Ace had given him back in Arabasta was shrinking and burning. His heart sank.

"Luffy?" Sanji asked, noticing the change in his captain's expression.

Luffy clenched his fist, staring at the paper. "Ace… I'm coming for you, brother. But not yet."

The Straw Hats sailed away from Thriller Bark and the Florian Triangle, their course set for Fish-Man Island, the Log Pose guiding them. The air felt heavy with the promise of future adventures, yet danger lingered.

As the Rolling Pirates readied to leave aboard Brook's ship, Lola paused, her eyes narrowing as she stared into the fog. For a brief moment, she thought she saw something—something huge, watching them from the mist. But just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone.

Lola shook her head, brushing it off. "It's nothing. Just the fog."

But the crew could feel it. The weight of unseen eyes upon them. Deep in the fog, a pair of enormous eyes watched as the Straw Hat Pirates sailed away.
