She stared at Alexis; maybe she was right. Maybe she did need someone to speak to. The only one she had been pouring her heart out to lately and who didn't mind was Declan. The realization hit her hard; she needed to talk to Declan.

"Alexis, can you drive to Declan's office? I need to go there first."

Alexis smiled, glad she had picked Declan for Mia to talk to. That was her aim, as Declan was the closest to her right now, and he deserved to know what was going on. Also, if anyone could help Mia, it was Declan. She remembered how he had stood by her after losing her daughter. Losing her daughter had resulted in her losing her friends one by one as she had no one to rely on, and she didn't want anyone around her.
