"What?... This...", begins Gorak, panicked. 

He recognises the mark. He had seen it on a couple of those fallen gods!

It was… the devil's mark!

The mark of Skotos! 

It was a mark purposed to torture a soul for all of eternity until it was removed. It was a mark meant only for the damned.

Once branded with the mark, a soul would be thoroughly tormented relentlessly, with darkness and with pain, forever. 

The mark meant death.

'Why would Skotos?…', muses Gorak in confusion.

"Scared?... Haha!.", Skotos cuts him off with a calm, stable voice, laughing a bit. 

"Don't worry. This is just a little something to ensure you keep your end of our deal when the time comes. 

And… it has not been activated as yet. So there is nothing to fear.", he smirks rather handsomely.

"Ours is a simple deal. I give you refuge, and in exchange, you do whatever it is I ask when the time comes.
