章 78: Lifesaver

Even Mildred could admit that he was a good looking fellow, handsome and well endowed. 

He had some old scars on his body but his best feature was definitely his face.

His face was beautiful for a man, the type that songs and poems were written about and it was his face that finally won Mildred over to his side.

Maxixe looked so peaceful with his eyes closed, with a face that looked like it was sculpted by the Gods.

No one should be that breathtakingly handsome and it hurt her to the core to see him in so much pain and gasping for breath.

Once she decided to take Maxixe under her wing, like an overprotective mother goose no one else could go near him.

To set the mood, Mildred set up a candle night vigil, since he barely ate anything.

Aside from her own fears and speculations she really didn't know if he was seriously going to make it through the night.
