章 14: THE REAL MATCH STARTS
Jonathan passes the ball to Ace, who is standing very close to the goal post.
Ace receives the ball, but due to the nervousness he goes blank in front of the post standing like a statue , soon the defender of Namo Buddha arrive and swiftly takes the ball from ace.
Ace's face was cold as he had lost a golden chance to score the first goal of the match.
The crowd starts booing at Ace and chants
Go back home!!, Go back home no 11!!, You don't deserve to be here!.
The announcers were also completely puzzled thinking that how did a newbie like this player was selected in the team of Red Panda.
Jerry (the announcer) 'Ryan do you think the captain was not in the right mind when he selected this player as the striker'
Ryan 'I think they are trying to get themselves kicked out of this tournament '
The whistle was blown to announce the half time in the match.
AT THE BENCHES OF RED PANDA:
"Hey kid what were you thinking back then? , why weren't you concentrating in the match " the right winger of the team scolded Ace.
You should have stayed away from the match if you didn't have the skills to play another player added.
The whole team was very angry at the careless actions of the new player.
Skyler 'Hey punk you should know one thing, if you constantly do mistakes like that , the match would certainly slip away from our hands, and if that happens the Red Panda would not forget about that'.
Jonathan "Hey everyone shut up! Why are you all scolding him. At a time like this a teammates duty is to comfort the player if he is not doing good but you all.. shame on you all.
Skyler " But Jonathan.. "He was going to say something but Jonathan gave a rageful stare to Skyler indicating that right now he was in no mood of talking.
Jonathan" Get out all of you, I want to our striker privately".
All the team members got off from their benches and went somewhere far from their current location.
Ace and Jonathan sat together silently not exchanging any words till Jonathan broke the silence asking Ace "Hey Masked Striker you are a kid right? "
Ace got shocked for a moment but answered with hesitation 'No I'm a full grown man '
Jonathan 'You can stop pretending, by your physical feature I have a rough estimate that your age is around 15 to 16 '
Ace ' Well I can't hide it anymore '
Jonathan ' Hey till you don't embrace your fear you can never grow as a player, you should forget about the crowd, get a hold of yourself and give it your all and if you do that I can guarantee you that you will not regret even if you lose today '
Jonathan " Hey and don't take the words of those bastard teammates by heart, they are just worried and tensed fron inside they are also as scared as you are "
Jonathan leaves the benches, making Ace alone at the benches sitting.
Suddenly Sanjoo's voice came from nowhere in the mind of Ace.
Sanjoo"Hey kid why are purposely acting like you are nervous and making everyone think like you are scared of playing this match , I certainly sensed your heartbeat and pulses, they were all normal which mean you were not a bit nervous "
And also when the ball was passed to you both the times you were on your complete senses, but you knowingly gave the ball to the opposing team yourself, what is going on your head boy?
Ace with a hint of laughter "Hey Sanjoo do you seriously thought that I was a person you could understand in a few days, I have a specific reason for doing all this and you soon know about that too, right now what I am doing I preparing an illusion for someone who is going to be my prey "
Like the venus fly trap creates an illusion for bugs but my case is a little bit different because I am not dealing with a bug here but a tiger who is very hungry right now.
