The silence in the classroom felt almost suffocating.

"Take your seat." Mr. Caretaker said, ignoring the silence, and then left the classroom.

Adam nodded and took a seat in the front row, with Terry on his left side and a round-headed young woman on his right. The young woman glanced at Adam, shock on her eyes.

"Ahem." Irene cleared her throat and said. "Alright, let's continue with the lesson…"

'S-ranker? What in the world…' Terry side-eyed Adam discreetly.
