I was sitting up in bed when I heard the front door quietly opened and closed, and I turned the page of the book that I was reading awaiting for him to enter the bedroom.

He shortly after did, making sure to be quiet unaware that I was still awake and waiting until he turned around and saw me and he gasped, "oh God Atalia! Shit you scared me! What are you doing still up?"

He came over to where I was and tried to place a kiss on my lips, but I turned my head to the side, "I see you've found your way home. Can't say the same about the kids."

"The kids?" he asked confused then his eyes widened and his mouth opened, "oh mt God Atalia I am so sorry! I completely got side tracked honestly. It was my first day back and I had a lot to do, and I completely forgot."
