章 132: Arranged Marriage

Eighteen years later…

"Rose! Are you sleeping?" her father's voice called from the other side of her bedroom door.

Rose Harrington groaned softly, making sure he couldn't hear, before dragging herself out of bed to open the door.

"Hey, Dad," she mumbled, letting out a long, exaggerated yawn to make it seem like she was on the verge of falling asleep.

"I need to talk to you about something important," he said, his tone serious.

"Can it wait until morning? I was about to—"

"No, Rose. It can't wait. I'll be in my office," he cut her off, walking away before she had a chance to protest.

What now? she thought, frustrated. Are the werewolves rioting again and threatening humanity? But that didn't seem like something she'd need to get involved in.

With a sigh, Rose reluctantly made her way to his office. This better be important if he's dragging me out of bed for it!
