Nori let out a silent sigh as the driver drove out of Veron's house the next morning. They were already on their way to the hostel, but she wasn't feeling happy about it.

It wasn't because she wanted to continue staying at the house. Rather, it was because she didn't succeed in seeing Gideon until they left.

She had asked Skye that morning if Gideon was back so she could quickly talk to him before leaving. However, Skye confirmed that he wasn't back yet.

She would have thought he had returned to his house, but Zara already told her that Gideon was staying with them for the time being and may not be going back to his home anytime soon.

Where the hell did he go to that he had to stay all night and almost all morning? And why did it have to be when she needed him? She hadn't regretted anything in her life as much as she regretted running away yesterday. If only she had known he would leave, she wouldn't have been in this position now.
