75 miles away from Lin's current location was the Lindon Family Mansion with architecture like no other, standing high upon the hill overlooking the town, it's many pointed towers giving it the look of an eccentric crown.
"Guess the kid is more powerful than we thought huh?" Eric Lindon, the head of the Lindon Family, was sipping wine and looking outside, facing the window while speaking.
"It would appear so Mr. Lindon, the boy must have caught Gerald. Should we be worried?" A fierce looking man in black was kneeling in front of him. It seemed that the man had a lot of respect for Eric Lindon. The man felt sweat form on his forehead. He had followed Mr. Lindon for many years, so he could sense the immense pressure that came along with those words.
It meant that he was very uncomfortable!
"Don't need to worry, he wouldn't do anything," Eric Lindon said calmly. "He probably knows that recklessly charging against the Lindon Family when he's the member of the Hamill Family is basically a declaration of war."
The kneeling man pondered Mr. Lindon's words for quite some time before he said, "That doesn't mean he would just leave the issue."
"Of course he won't leave the issue alone. We basically have a helping hand in trying to kill him. I think it's safe to say that we are outside the realm of compromises now," as he spoke, there was a slightly pleased look in his eyes, as though victory was already in the palms of his hands.
"So what do we do then?"
Eric Lindon waved his hands before he said, "Well the only reason I even considered causing the death of the young master of James Hamill is because our family wouldn't be the one to actually kill him. It would be the Butler who would've killed him, and we would've just gained something from it. But now, it seems like instead of gains we have received only losses." Eric Lindon sighed, looking at his backyard.
"The grass that has gotten longer needs to be cut, as it only grows longer if left unchecked." He whispered to himself.
"Pardon?" The man in black glanced at his master with a puzzled expression.
"Lin Hamill has now formed an irreversible grudge with us, and assuming that there isn't any possibility of compromises, the only other way is to eliminate the person," Eric said, as he enunciated each syllable through his gritted teeth. "Seeing as the Higher ups in the family has yet to show any action in retaliation even after a long while since the incident happened, we can probably assume that the young master of the Hamill Family hasn't told any higher ups about the incident, keeping it to himself. He might probably be thinking of repaying our gesture with his own hands."
"But wouldn't it be too reckless? Wouldn't telling the family be more effective and have more chance of winning compared to him waging a war alone?" The man in black asked.
"This kid made an experiment to basically evolve the human body into wielding two powers. And the butler said that he did it by himself, right? I would imagine a person of his caliber would find it extremely humiliating to even consider the prospect of asking for help. Of course, he has his expert mind to back his actions up. I would even go as far to say that he might actually have a shot at taking us down."
"You can't be serious, sir?" The man in black was taken aback by the words of the Lindon Family head. He just heard that the fifteen year old member of the Hamill Family that had yet to grow out of his teens had a chance at annihilating one of the most powerful and oldest families to ever exist.
"Don't underestimate the kid, Jason," Eric Lindon said calmly. "The powers that he holds are greater than what you can imagine. He was just a cripple till just a few months ago. And yet he has risen to a point where he could take on even Gerald. I would say he's a very dangerous threat to the family."
"... So what are you planning to do sir? I imagine we can't just barge into his apartment and try to murder him in broad daylight. Is there a plan of sorts?" The man in black asked in a low voice.
Eric just glanced at the man kneeling in front of him before staring into the distance and shaking his head. "Well, this might be really stupid if you think about how we tried to help kill him, but I still want to try to make a compromise."
".... Didn't you just say that there weren't any chances for a compromise?" The man black, Jason Andrea, asked the head confusedly.
"Yes, indeed there isn't any actual probability for a real compromise. But there is an option for a fake one."
" A fake one? What do you mean? Are you saying that you want to just make a compromise without any actual meaning behind it?"
"Yes, that's exactly what I want." Answered Eric Lindon.
"You do realize that Mr. Lin Hamill would also have to agree for the compromise, right?"
"Oh, he would definitely be willing for a compromise in name only."
"Huh, why would he?"
"Because," as he finished his wine, Eric Lindon turned around from the window to face Jason. " We would leak information about the dual power machine if he doesn't. In turn for keeping quiet he would receive the backing of the Lindon Family for his resources. Of course, trying to destroy each other discreetly all the while doing so is also open. I imagine he would be looking forward to the compromise."
Eric Lindon turned to face his backyard again. " Let's see who can win, Mr. Lin Hamill. I imagine it's going to be a very enjoyable experience. Both for you and for me."

Lin Hamill's Apartment.
"So, the Lindon Family hired you huh…"
"Y-yes, th-that's right, it's all their fault. I had n-nothing to do with it young master, I just do my job without thinking. P-please forgive me... AH-AAAAAGHHH… THE PAIN! THE PAIN!! MAKE IT STOOOOOP!"
A man who looked like he had gone crazy was kneeling in front of Lin Hamill and screaming at the top of his lungs. The man was Gerald, who seemed to have aged twenty years in a matter of hours. Lin was looking at the kneeling and screaming man in front of him coldly. He didn't speak a word, but got up from his chair, and forced out the electrical whips from his arms.
"You did indeed answer. You have fulfilled your duty. Now…" as he spoke the electrical whip started vibrating. He then swung the whip hard at the direction of Gerald, and as the whip connected with Gerald's body, it passed through him, splitting his body into two.
".... You may rest."
Lin looked at Gerald's body for a second, and then sat back in the chair. Suddenly, water vapours started coming out of his body, and he seemed to be reverting back to his old size from the muscular bodybuilder body that he had now.
"It seems the body has adapted to the new dual power system. It looks like the muscular body is no longer needed for it to support it, as my body has also evolved with it."
As Lin looked at his body that had returned to his old form, he couldn't help but sigh. The muscular body was indeed more favourable for him. But then again, such a body is definitely not common among teenagers.
"Master Lin, may I come in?" Charles's voice came through the intercom, and Lin told him to come inside.
"Master Lin, the targets have been taken care of." As Charles spoke, he bowed to greet his master.
"Well done, you did well." Lin, cold as usual, gave his response.
Charles just stood there and he looked at Lin. Lin saw this and asked, "Is there something on my face, Charles?"
"I'm sorry Master Lin, but why did you want to eliminate Richard's family? They didn't do anything wrong, and they probably wouldn't be of threat to you. So why would you still want them dead?"
Lin listened to Charles's question. It seemed like Charles really wanted to know. Well, I guess a teenager making this sort of cold and calculated decision is very strange. As Lin thought about it, he answered Charles's question, " I don't believe in something like 'probably'. "
"... I'm sorry, what do you mean by that Master Lin?"
"I mean that if there's even a small chance, a tiny fraction for there to be a possibility of threat, I would rather pluck it at its bud than letting it live, hoping it would never think of retaliating. I would rather control the situation than hope for the best."
"... I see." Charles spoke, as he looked at Lin.
" Is that answer to your satisfaction?"
" Yes, very. You are very profound for a teenager Master Lin."
"Well, I'd rather be cautious." Lin took out a bottle of wine, and placed it on the table along with two wine glasses.
"Oh, and get the security ready. I need you guys to be prepared."
Charles, confused by his order asked, puzzled.
"If I'm right, we might be having a guest come over soon."
