章 49: Chapter 49: Prejudice?
Seeing that Ross was really intimidated by Logan, Emma wanted to laugh but restrained herself. Really, fear the strong and bully the weak.

Ross was unwilling, especially seeing the Hulk standing near Emma without losing control. He felt that he might have captured the latter if these two hadn't intervened.

Logan just replied with another snort. After that, the soldiers received orders to retreat and did so in an orderly manner, with Emil being carried away.
Dealing with the Army done, they now returned to the big problem: how to deal with the Hulk?

At the same time, she thought of Emma's ability to heal the bullet wound as if it were nothing. She remembered Director Fury saying that she could heal others. Natasha very much hoped to ask her for help but didn't know where to start.
As someone who had been a spy for many years, it was usually easy to form contact with anyone, but with Emma, she saw the kind of look saying, I know you.
When the atmosphere was a bit awkward, Emma, who was near the Hulk, raised her hands slowly, trying to project the temperament of I'm a good woman.
Since Hulk didn't resist, she wasn't polite either and touched his head while saying softly: "Good boy, good boy. Now calm down. Everything is over. The bad guy won't bother you."
Maybe Emma's trick worked out, or Tsunade's motherly aura was really strong. The Hulk seemed to calm down as his state started reversing to Banner.
After returning the body to Banner, the latter seemed unconscious. Even though the Hulk hadn't done anything, it seemed he was really tired.
Emma directly threw him to Logan, who subconsciously caught him before looking at her. She shrugged and said: "What, you don't want a lady to carry a man while you're doing nothing?"
The rest just smiled. The mission that seemed Hell-level was easily accomplished without any civilian victims. As for Logan, he murmured, a little angry: "This isn't any man but a freakin' beast."
Well, he wouldn't mind if it was a woman, but a man, one without a shirt and full of hair at that, he slightly missed Scott. Otherwise, he would dump Banner on him.
For Emma, this mission wasn't in vain. It could even be said to be full of surprises. First of all, she won a scientist for her plan and a bodyguard with universal potential named Hulk.
She also now had some connection with the superheroes currently in action, all of this while finally meeting the condition of creating her school.
After returning to the Quinjet, the atmosphere was no longer as awkward as before, with each team isolating the other. Maybe it was because of the stress before?
In short, Logan was getting along well with Ben, Susan was talking with Natasha, and Emma was speaking to Skye and Ororo. It was very lovely. Fury would definitely appreciate it, thinking of his Avengers Initiative.
Finally, Emma's attention turned to the man she wanted to have a discussion with the least, Reed Richards.
It was because she realized she had been a little bit of an a**hole, judging him just based on his comic counterpart.
During the little interaction they had, he didn't give her any bad vibe or impression. If she continued to see him as his comic self, she must put out of her head the mentality of judging others based on their movie or comic versions, as this was another reality.
She sighed and reached out to him: "Dr. Richards, I want to talk to you and Ms. Susan after we return."
Reed was surprised to see Emma talking to him. He could feel her resistance and a little bit of disgust at him at the beginning. It gradually changed to being friendly, and now she wanted to talk to him and Susan. He couldn't help but wonder why.
Nonetheless, he smiled and replied: "Of course, I would be very happy to help, though I'm curious, what do you want to talk about?"
Emma smiled and said: "Well, it's something concerning a project that I have, but I think it's better to wait for Banner to wake up. I also need to invite people like Professor X."
This attracted Reed's attention even more. He was curious about what kind of important thing it was that Emma wanted to gather them for, especially since the people she mentioned were all scientists.
He said: "Okay, I must admit I'm curious about what you want to discuss with us."
It was at this time that Natasha intervened. She left the control of the Quinjet to Barton and said: "What are you discussing in secret?"
Well, it was her instinct as an agent, plus she had a mission from Fury to observe everyone here, especially how Emma behaved when in contact with others.
Emma also understood that Natasha was trying to fish for information while wanting to curry favor with her, probably because she wanted Emma to help heal her organ?
Anyway, there was nothing to hide, as this project would eventually reach SHIELD's ears. She said: "I was inviting Dr. Richards as I was gathering enough scientific power for my project."
Natasha raised her eyebrows and said: "Oh? May I know what kind of project it is?"
Emma shook her head and said: "It's secret. I will hold a meeting when we return. Your SHIELD can also send people, but I warn you, they must be very good scientists."
