章 52: A GAME OF THRONES: Part 7.2

"We need to fight together," Jorah says, pulling everyone's attention back to the meeting.

It's clear he understands what's at stake. He's seen the dead up close. If Winterfell falls, the rest of the land won't stand a chance.

Daenerys nods, her voice steady but firm. "Yes."

She's seen it too. Myths turned real, as real as her dragons.

Davos clears his throat, stepping forward. "We need to secure Cersei Lannister's support," he says carefully, as though aware of the storm his words might unleash.

The atmosphere in the room changes instantly. Sour doesn't even begin to cover it, especially when Daenerys stiffens.

Jon glances at her, and it's obvious he understands why. To Daenerys, Cersei isn't just a rival. She's a roadblock standing between her and the Iron Throne.

Even though Eddard's death weighs heavily on him, Jon knows he has to think about the future of the North before taking any drastic actions.

"You do need her support," I say, breaking through the tension. "This enemy isn't just dangerous. It gets stronger with every death."

Everyone turns toward me as I reach into my pocket and withdraw a handful of gold and silver coins. I place them on the table, separating them into two piles.

"We can't afford to lose," I continue, slowly sliding some coins away from each pile. "Every single move counts now. If someone dies on either side," I say, removing more coins from both piles, "our numbers shrink."

I push the removed gold coins into the silver pile. "But their numbers stay the same, or worse, they grow."

Now, one pile of coins is a mix of gold and silver, while the other is almost gone.

"They don't feel hunger, pain, or fear," I continue, my voice grim. "They don't fight like soldiers, retreating or defending themselves. Their only purpose is to kill the living and add to their numbers."

The room falls silent, the weight of my words sinking in. I hear a quiet gulp from Gendry.

I know cercie will not help.

I can't just prevent them to stop trying.

Maybe situation will change.

Roberta, sitting beside me, keeps her face neutral, but I can feel her tension. She's always calm on the outside, but even she knows how bad this is.

"Dragonglass and Valyrian steel are the only known weapons that can kill them," I say, bringing everyone's focus back.

"No one's made a new Valyrian steel sword since the Doom of Valyria," Jon adds. "So that leaves us with dragonglass."

He turns his gaze toward Daenerys. "We need to increase the mining speed."

Daenerys meets his gaze, understanding the gravity of his request. After a moment, she nods. "I'll make the arrangements."

The meeting ends with urgency thick in the air. They decide to leave for Dragonstone at first light to mine and forge dragonglass before the enemy advances further.

Beric and Tormund volunteer to stay behind.

As the others begin to disperse, I decide to step outside. The cold northern air bites against my skin as I let my mind wander over the possibilities.

---

Three days later, on the ship

John sits on the cabin floor, surrounded by a chaotic mess of screws, wires, and even test tubes filled with what looks like blood. But the thing that stands out the most? Two small balls, each barely smaller than a golf ball, glowing faintly with a light sky-blue color.

John's POV

"Finally, another set," I mutter, picking up my creation with a small grin.

When I got Bakuda's template, I wasn't just focused on what she had created but on what she could.

I had a theory. If tinkers in other universes could create things after analyzing powers, would the same logic apply here? In a world like Marvel, with mutants, mutates, and God knows what else walking around, the possibilities were endless.

My first test subject was Daredevil. Not myself, because I wasn't sure if Bakuda's template would prevent me to create bombs related to my own powers.

Meeting Kilgrave turned out to be a jackpot.

I wasn't even sure I could pull it off or how long it would take. That's why I kept Kilgrave alive.

Blood, hair, sweat, I gathered it all.

After ditching the Freys, I spent my time working on replicating his power.

Eventually, I managed to make something. A bomb.

But I had no idea what the final effect would be. Duration, range, side effects , it was all a question mark.

Bakuda's chaos style clearly left its mark on me. She didn't always know what her creations would do, and neither did I.

So, I did what anyone with a shred of self-preservation would do.

Find a test subject.

I used one of the bombs on a merchant during my trip north. Of course, I stayed at a safe distance. I knew what I wanted it to do but wasn't about to risk finding out what else it might cause.

And guess what? It worked.

The merchant started selling his lockets to a customer who hadn't even glanced at them seconds earlier.

I tested it a few more times to confirm.

Final result: Whoever these bombs touch gains Kilgrave's powers for 20 seconds. During that time, the "puppet" will follow orders without question. Then, once the effect wears off, they snap back to their senses.

The range? Barely a meter.

It's not perfect, but it's a solid start.

With these, I don't have to worry about versatility anymore.

Sure, I've got the system, but come on it's gacha. Who knows when I'll get another template or if I even will.

These bombs now are result of seeing Night king cryokinesis.

I will test them later because now it's time for gacha.

I didn't do the spin earlier since I was busy.

Just hope for something useful.
