Lilian shook her head.
"Why didn't you say anything? Do you want the wound to become infected and end up back in the hospital?"
Allen sighed, knowing she was right. "I didn't think it was that bad. I thought I could handle it."
"Handle it? You really should have gone to the doctor or at least told me!" she scolded. "What were you thinking? going to the company when you could have done everything through Zoom?"
He remained silent, allowing her to express her frustration.
"I know, I know. I didn't need to go in for anything that Aiden could've handled," he finally admitted. "I just can't be cooped up at home all day," he replied, running a hand through his hair. "It feels… confining."
Lilian glanced at the skin of his toned abdomen, which was pale and slightly hairy.
"You need to take this seriously, Allen. Your health comes first," she said as she grabbed the first aid kit and the supplies she needed.
