We finally arrived back at home, "Welcome back Master Alex and Madam!" Gaius came out with his maids at the entrance of the mansion as usual. "Thank you Gaius!" I responded even if the cold man beside me said nothing.
"Master, Miss Balowe awaits your arrival!" I was astonished by Gaius shocking revelation. The last person I wanted to see was right there in the lounge. I fumed in anger as I could kill her that moment if I had set my eyes on her.
Alex held my wrist, caressing his thumb on its surface and for some strange reasons I calmed down. "Alright Gaius!" He said and took me in. I just didn't want to see the Demon, not to even stay longer in a room with her. The air around feels suffocating. I left Alex and got upstairs.
Somehow I felt bad for leaving Alex with her, who knows what they must be doing right now.
I couldn't stay in the room knowing my Alex is with that woman, I moved around the room anxiously.

"Berverly!" Alex called as he took his position on the couch opposite to hers after Hazel left him alone with her. Alex crossed his legs and stared at her. Berverly was more than excited when she saw Hazel leave, just the right space she needed.
"Hello Alex!" She smiled sweetly. "To what do I owe this visit?" Elena and her group of maids brought in double glasses of mango and orange juice for them, with extra ice cubes just incase the drinks were not chilled enough. "Thank you for last time!" She said. "It was nothing, you already thanked me enough!" Alex said briefly.
"I know, and I'm also apologizing for last time. I know it was wrong, what we did on your fake engagement party. Poor Hazel, I wonder how she must have felt!" She started, reminding Alex with her choice of words about their fake engagement. But Alex said nothing.
"Speaking of which, don't you think Hazel's getting too attached to you, I mean it's a fake marriage that should be kept strictly professional!" She said meaningfully.
"The way I handle my relationship, should not be a problem to you should it?" Alex sounded irritated. "Alex... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have reacted that way!" She apologized quickly. Berverly forgot too soon that Alexander was a short tempered person and hated it when people had to make decisions for him. "State your reason for coming here!" "Well.... I just recalled today's your parents death anniversary, so I decided to come say high and see how you're doing!"
"That's so thoughtful of you!" Alex said with a smile that held less anger and Berverly was more than pleased to see him smile. It's been long she saw him smiling to her. With time Alex's anger dissipated. Somewhere in Alex's mind he was scared and very cautious around Berverly so he doesn't get thrown out of the house this time by his crazy lunatic wife.
Or better still, she might end up going on kissing spree and maybe this time his workers might be involved too. He blinked to get the thought off his head. Just as he thought about it, he saw Hazel coming from the stairs with a livid face. She glared at him and no one else.
While Hazel was in the room, her head was filled with different thoughts as jealousy consumed her entire being. She got off the bed and her feet took her to the man she wanted to see. Hazel sighed in relief when she saw Alex keeping his distant from the woman.
"Hello Miss Balowe!" Hazel greeted with a sweet smile, and Berverly clenched her teeth together. "Hello Hazel, we meet again!".
