Chapter 115: One Less Lonely Girl (6) (New)

"I'm really tired" Rachel said lightly in her car, she was on her way to her grandparents' house for their anniversary, She was at a gas station just sitting their only a few miles from her grandparents.

Physically she was not tired, mentally she was.

After a few moments she started her car back up and left. Her eyes tired and somewhat dazed. The old and worn country house, was beautiful and classy. It was the home of her grandparents. The moment she got out her car she had already noticed the other cars far off into the driveway.

She went to the backseat and took out gifts. Her grandparents where tired of her avoiding the family so they choose to plan this. She closed her door and turned around with her gift, when she felt a small little hand tugging on her black skirt.

The little face that looked up at her was shocked. He had mistaken her for someone else and was suddenly both scared and confused.

Nick" a young man ran up and paused when he saw Rachel. Making her lift her sunglass and frowned at him. It took her awhile but Rachel recognized the man as her sister's on and off again boyfriend.

Well, that was the situation when she left but it had been some years and so they may have gotten married. Rachel frowned even more, as she started getting a splitting headache from complicated thoughts that Amara was not capable of.

The kid let go and Rachel went on her way to the front door without a second thought. With a very annoyed expression, before she knocked her grandfather opened the door.

"Welcome, Come on in" Her grandfather walked out with his cane and gave her a hug. Rachel expression soften, behind her, she heard the sound of a car turn off a drive away.

"So, you Un-" The voice of Amara's mother was coming from the back of as soon as she saw Rachel she paused.

Rachel's grandfather walked her in and she saw the entire family who where quiet as they saw her walk.

"Welcome, dear, we missed you." Her grandmother walked in and gave her a hug. Rachel walked to the table and put their gift down with the other gifts from family.

The house had aunts, uncles, their spouse their children and very few extended family and friends. Quiet just Quiet, it seemed that they did not know what to say and just being there was already giving her a headache.

"Mom, Dad, is my sister here. I can't-" the narcissistic older sister appears and Rachel rolls her eyes as the women child went through so many facial expression in the span of a few minutes.

"Dear, can you stay for dinning?" Rachel grandmother said the moment she saw that Rachel was going to leave prematurely.

"Yes" Rachel said softly and sat down far off to the side. After a while the family began talking about themselves and complaining about their lives their kids and other things.

To Which Rachel had blatantly ignored.

"You don't know how hard it is, I can't believe he's taking the kids away from me." The narcissistic sister said out loud drowning out the voices of the other relatives because the attention wasn't on her.

"I know, my sweetheart." Her mother said.

Rachel was playing with her hair while on her phone. That Irked her Sister so bad that she snapped at her.

"Is my misery so boring that you're not even giving her any words of encouragement in her trying times." She said to Rachel, who didn't even bother to look at her.

"Yes, it is" Rachel said truthfully leaving the room dead in shock. "I mean after all, my sister is a deadbeat who hasn't gotten a job, dropped out of college, lives off our father…..No Grandfather's money. Cheated, Lied, participated in fraud. Arrested and almost charged for battery and assault...." Rachel continued the list. "Let us not forget cheating on her husband, in his own house, while her son was also there. You also have accounts of child abuse and witnesses from neighbors.

So, Why, would I give Trash even an ounce of symphony" she said bluntly, her headache was killing her and it was starting to make her rage.

"…" The family was left speechless and her sister loomed fuming was ready to standup. It looked like she was going to hit her, but, instead started screaming and going on a rant. Eventually her mother joined in screaming at her.

Rachel continued to look at her phone until her father snatched it and through it out of her hand.

"Listen to when people are talking to you."

Her grandparents just sat in the background while her parents and sister are yelling at her. Rachel picked up her purse, doing her best to keep in control of herself and not going into a rage.

She walked to the backyard. While the annoying trio screamed at her no even bothering to relent. She quickly took of her heels and stepped on the soft grass as she made her way to a very semi think tree that looked thick enough that it needed to be chainsaw away.

She then remembered her grandfather talking about an old tree that need cut down. In a moment she put all her effort into kicking the tree, sadly, like punching bag when she was Laís.

It fell on the first kick, completely snapped apart just from one hit.

Dead silence was followed behind her. Rachel looked up at the blue sky, her face being lightly touched by sun.

'Ah, it's finally quiet.'
