Opening his eyes, Nian Bing found himself surrounded by a blanket of white. He was lying on a large bed that was hardly comfortable; it was instead quite hard. A slight movement brought a wave of soreness that washed over him. His magic power had recovered by a third, and desperate to understand his current situation, he temporarily halted his meditation, and fully awoke.

"Nian Bing, you're awake," an excited voice echoed. Before Nian Bing could react, another person had appeared by his bedside - it was his elder brother, Rong Bing.

"Brother, was it you who saved me?" Upon seeing Rong Bing, Nian Bing felt a wave of tranquility and a faint smile appeared on his face.

Rong Bing shook his head, saying, "No, it wasn't me who saved you. It could be said that you saved yourself, or that our grandfather couldn't bear to harm you."
